Ditto
Wait did Caitlin Jenner cut an album and I not hear about it?
He's singing even slower than the music play's.. #4 mostly cause I don't want this on my PSD.

I'm in danger of slipping into a coma and falling off my office chair, so I guess that'll wake me up. Pure aural Mogadon, a nailed-on Ho-Hum, and a fine cure for insomnia {#Sleep}
Hopefully when I come to the song will be over.

i think the sloooowness is an important part of the song. when we come to...as in we are asleep....hence the drowsy pace. the lyrics will wake ya....have a listen. beautiful song...imo.
well, guess there isn't much going on in them there Ozarks much so I guess this is might good stuff to ya then...........
This is a guy? You'd think with such a funny-sounding voice you'd make sure you could at least hit all the notes.
This is a man. Odd.

it's the song, not so much the singer.
I know I sound like a broken record -- but this is more "depressingly beautiful" stuff. It's good, but... if you're not Townes Van Zandt, depressingly beautiful is a hard sell. Gets a five.

Michael sounds like Lucinda! (or vice versa)
yes, michael miller indeed is a guy. with an angelic voice. his last show at the hotel cafe in l.a. was pretty amazing. rami jaffe of the wallflowers and joe ongie sat in with michael--they sounded great!! Gaby wrote:

Good call, the slide guitar adds to the likeness. Kinda dreamy-ish. Not bad, but I prefer Aimee.
Nice....some heavy Beatles channeling going on.
I got turned onto Micheal Miller by RP and another RP listener - just bought the latest CD and I can't stop listening to it. Thanks again, Bill and friends.

it's 2:30 in the morning here - there may not be enough coffee to outlive this song - "when we come to" must be sung in irony. :(
When we come to.....this song will be over. :grumpy.gif:

lol.
Funny..........I thought that was Lucinda Williams too. Definite same quality to her voice.

me too. reminds me of the greatness of Lucinda, and the talent of Miller. I can almost hear an echo of a Beatleseque guitar lick.

I like it!
Eek. I thought it was Fiona Apple.
I thought it was Lucinda Williams :) Nice
Aimee Mann meets the Beatles, the four males win the chromosome battle.
nice
Wow, really nice! yup, hard to believe it's a guy. But if I hear he's in the Bay Area, it's a show I'll go see, definitely! And since no one can find any album of his, might we get another song of his from RP? Thanks again for the ear-opening great range of tunes!
Hmmmm am I missing something? Snore zone!
Sounds exactly like Lucinda Williams. Does the phrase \"Lyle the effeminate heterosexual\" ring a bell?
Michael Miller is male. Happens to be a fairly genuine guy. He\'s a talented songwriter who is developing what I think is a unique sound. His band is one of the best in the area for sure. I know he gets a wide range of comments here. Some I would agree with. All in all, I think Michael might be on to something. He travels... if you get the chance.. fan or not, the band is worth the show.. \"And that\'s all I have to say about that\"...
I had to check and see what was playing. My first thought was that this was a cover of "Across the Universe." Some other posts indicate the artist is female. Can anyone confirm that? The person sounds male to me, not to mention the first name of Michael (although I know a few female Michaels). Just curious. Thanks for exposing to me such a wide variety of tunes, RP!

isn't that an awesome song ("A Pillow of Winds")on an album that doesn't need or get enough attention.
Dear Nick Collingridge. The entire album is fabulous. I own it and listen to it religiously. You can get it on PasteMusic.com (I also highly recommend most everything on that web site!!). Cheers. ~Amnesiac

Can\'t find this on Amazon UK or US, or on All Music Guide. ANy clues from anyone where this comes from and how to get it?
Another RP \"find\". Who is this person?
This is a girl?
I agree... something VERY Beatles-esque sounding...

Was she listening to \"Something\" by George Harrison or \"Across the Universe\" by the Beatles. Too similar.
Because it starts of with her using the word \'something\' but also beause of a similar melody line, at first, it reminds of George Harrison\'s Something. It becomes something(:p) very different after that, but by then I already got the classic Something on my mind and it can\'t compete with that one. Btw, few songs can.
I for one like this song. Seems like many of the songs I enjoy have ratings I think are too low. I wonder if it\'s my taste, or if everyone has something bad to say.
I wasn\'t paying attention but I thought this was Lucinda Williams showing a heavy Beatles influence.
depressing.
