Both. And considering how it reduced her career to rubble (remember when she was bigger than Madonna?), AND she has no regrets over it, I'd say it was quite a big deal.

Hmmm, from a movie soundtrack, presumably? I like the idea of an Edge solo album. It would be interesting to see what he'd come up with outside the constraints of U2.

Agreed. Like shaving one's head or hitting up folks for money outside a supermarket exit. Captive audience. She does have a nice voice however.

Actually, schmoooz is right. "Heroine" was recorded in 1985, released in 1986, and is indeed the first widely-available track with her voice on it. "The Lion and The Cobra" wasn't released until 1987. Sinead also recorded a single called "Take My Hand" in 1983, but I don't think it received much distribution. See the timeline here: (click here)

I use this entire soundtrack as a meditation aide. Of course, I re-arranged all the tracks for a better flow, putting Herione as one of the last songs..... I lost my copy of this cd, so I think I'm gonna order it through RP website.....
