Let my arms be a tree
Let my eyes be a bee
Let my hair be
A bed of roses
Let my lips kiss the ocean
Let my feet feed
An earthworm
Let my ears feed a beetle
Let my thights feed a wolf
Let my nose be a plum
Oh it's the sweet cycle of life
Oh yes it's the
Sweet cycle of life
Well who am I to complain
About a bit of earthly pain
Let my heart be
An orchard of artichokes
Let my chest be
A bridge of Mesquite
Let my cock feed a crow
Let my stomach feed
A flock of geese
Oh it's the sweet cycle of life
Oh yes it's the
Sweet cycle of life
Well who am I to complain
Are we not one and
The same
Let me celebrate my life
In the way that I want to
In a feast of all the pieces
That were meant to be used

Love the groove and especially the lyrics...

Does anyone have the lyrics to this? I swear he just said "Let my cock feed a crow". That mildly disturbs me.

The sweet cycle of life!
Criminally underrated tune (but not by me!)
I hope my family plays this song at my funeral. I captures how I feel about the "afterlife" perfectly.
EXCELLENT!! I never heard of them before.  Thanx RP!

I Agree completely!  Very well stated!

I'm not too cool with feeding the crows man.

Must be a Canadian vibe; I hear Sam Roberts.

I'm getting a John Cougar meets John Mellancamp kinda feeling. And I like it.

Beautiful

Initially, I thought it was a cover of Nick Drake's "Black Eyed Dog"
This sounds similar to The Weber Brothers, a local band near me.
Much different than other Tito & the Tarantula songs I have heard.
I finally have a karaoke song.

I'm also hearing some John [Cougar] Mellencamp...
I am getting a strange thirst for Tito's and fresh Ruby Red Grapefruit Juice
There is a new tapas restaurant near me by this band name - I think - or very close.

Nope.  Called Tinto and Tapas
Sounds like Mudcrutch.... nice
i like it. and i'm amazed at the negative vibe on this 10 years ago.
Glad to hear something different from this collection, thanks rp!
It's been 3.5 yrs since an RP station played this.  Nice how the PSD button works!  Not sure how it will come in handy, however {#Think}

Yep. Pretty sure I could make it through life without ever hearing this song again. That would be good. I'll give it a 3 because the instruments sound good, but the words and the cricket...ick.

oh THAT cricket!
Agreed. Very annoying.
..... oh THAT cricket! thought I was going deaf...
nice and mellow....helps the beer go down a bit easier, too
Good chords, in tune, voice mike set a little low; the comment about Dylanesque is sure on point ... new to bring up the tempo a little bit. Otherwise very competent. I like them ... I am off to order the album.
Well I think the first 4 or 5 lines of the lyrics of this song SUCK so badly...it deserves a 3....Listen..

I recognize some chords in this. From Nick Drake's "Black Eyed Dog" maybe?
I was thinking it was a new version of Gomez's "Black Eyed Dog" when it first came on.

Santanico Pandamonium anybody?

Not bad. Maybe a bit too Dylanesque to follow Dylan.
My thoughts exactly and you all know how I feel about Dylan! **plugging ears, running around the room screaming!!!**

Must get this...ummmm!
Ahh, much better.
Ate a mushroom turned into Bali Didn't look it just jumped down my throat
Best friggin' band name I've heard in a long time. And the tune grooves too.
I feel kind of like I am sitting by a campfire jamming.

I was thinking Gomez' version of that same song.

Daniel Lanois in Baja California...
The Sweet Cycle of Life needs a little grease in the sprockets, the spokes cleared of leaves, and the brakes released on the way up hill. Not sure which emotional space I'm being transported to here. Selfconscious schizo noir. Weird for the sake of being weird.
I'm pretty sure it was Tito & Tarantula that sang Radio Head in True Stories, the Talking Heads film from the mid 80s--if you want to see them in a performance. They also appear in some of the bonus materials on at least one of the Robert Rodriguez DVDs.
Who else has spent five minutes rooting around their office trying to find that cricket? Anyone besides me? Please?
A hipper take on the theme song for Lion King.
well the words are cool. but the whole package is decidedly banal. Must be that Bruce Cockburn influence. ick.

Tito, the singer used to be in a great band call the Cruzados. I saw a video of one of their concerts years ago and they were awsome live. I bought their album and it's great as well.
I want that video!!! Where did you get it.

I think I would want to brag that my cock could feed the flock of geese personally.
not that bad, but please - somebody find that damn cricket and step on it. 4

I really need to upload more by these guys. This is a good song by them, but not a great song, nor is it representative of their catalogue.

They actually do alot of music for Robert Rodriguez. I first heard them on the Desperado soundtrack. Bought it for their songs. Great testoterone driven band.

A great band that has been overlooked by everyone but their fans. F.Y.I., they were the first band on stage in that goofy movie, Roadhouse with Pat Swazye (sp?) before the Jeff Healy band came on. :D

Thanks for the post-lunch anatomy lesson. Blerg.
intresting sound never heard them before
