Oh no. Not again.
iPod time...
Definitely reminds me of a song I've heard on RP but can't fully remember. The muppets wrote this one, I think, when they'd smoked too much dope.

Ear-breaking under most circumstances.

The songs not bad but I feel sorry for that poor pig with the gigantic hemorrhoid! {#Ass}
Ha, I certainly never expected to hear Pork Tornado outside of Vermont! Eclectic indeed.
this is Ironic!  Viva la jambon!{#Dancingbanana_2}
Just sent my monthly donation, but I hope Bill & Rebecca don't correlate support with what's being played currently because this preceding set is not one of my favorites — in fact if I never heard it again, I wouldn't miss it. That's rare here.

"BULL" - not pig...

That's some sweet Dan Archer Guitar there.{#Angel}
The Muppet comments are funny. Van Morrison's Blue money (played just before this today and, based on comments below, often) always reminds of a song from Sesame Street (i still love it though). Apparently Bill feels some connection between the two songs and we've all picked up on it as a Muppet (Rainbow?) connection.

Yeah that sums it up well.

Did Bill pick up the muppet conversation in the preceeding Van the man song and run with it?

{#Lol}  I was just coming here to say the same thing. But which muppet does he sound like? WHICH MUPPET?!!?

(Also? Pork Tornado sounds like a vegetarian's worst nightmare. Could I just get the Soybean Tsunami instead, please? With the sweet potato fries? Thanks!)

This playlist sequence would be impressive:

Miriam Makeba - Pata Pata —> Pork Tornado - Guabi Guabi —> Cake - Mahna Mahna

Maybe just run it in a loop on Election Day... {#Lol}

Whattssa madda you you gots no culcha ?
Oh wow, Pata Pata followed by Guabi Guabi.  Now there's a transition between two crappy songs that hasn't been done a thousand times on this station.

At least when the first one comes on, I know to just leave RP muted for the next song too.
What's that?! Oh my God, it's a Sausage Cyclone!! A veritable Weiner Whirlwind! A Tenderloin Tempest! A Chorizo Twister! A Fatback Funnel! A Bacon Blizzard! A Gammon Gale! Guabi guabi!! Run for your very lives!!

a second vote for the salami tsunami - Dusty is some prime reading for a chuckle... which came first, Dusty or the band? it's not clear to me
Thanks for the little run of African-influenced tunes; gettin' me psyched for my upcoming trip!

This has to be the funniest set of song comments anywhere on this site! In fact, the mere phrase "Guabi, Guabi, by Pork Tornado" is enough to crack me up.

Ok what is that on the pigs bum?
Actually, since Toad the Wet Sprocket is a reference to an old Monty Python skit, I can't faithfully say it's a bad name. Archers of Loaf is pretty bad though. handyrae wrote:

It is a photographic achievement in that no one is currently squeezing the pig to get this designed effect. Somewhere an engineer is proud of the work done on this mass produced key chain novelty. Yes, I bought one in the checkout line at the gas station.
Huh??

Apparently the name "Tork Pornado" was already taken. I'm still beFuddled by the dude who thought this was Porky Pig.
Well, I think its official. The universe has nearly run out of words for band names. Prepare for the apocalypse. I find the album art disturbing as well. Exactly what is that is coming out of the back of that pig?

that's good!
The thought was just striking me at that moment that there's probably some people that don't understand Zulu. And you know, a song of this importance should be understood, like all folksongs. . . .
--Arlo Guthrie
Hey, they got that name from my old girlfriend. She used to call me that.

I know everyone's trying to be objective, and I really appreciate that. In an attempt to be objective myself, I must declare my favor for British electro-pop and a preference for world music in a minor key. Ergo, this really sucks.
JUST when i had gotten this out of my head...

I absolutely love this song and this version!
Hmm, interesting. Why do I see Stewie spouting," Those 'ribs' went through me like a Pork Tornado! Guabi, Guabi, indeed!"
I remdember Arlo Guthrie recording and performing this song back in the late 90's. I assumed it was just Arlo being strange, didn't know it was actually a Zulu folksong. I liked the tune back then and it's nice to hear it again, but it's not the kind of thing you want to hear too often.

Another great pick, Platy!
not horrible - but i'm kinda tired of hearing it so often.
Guabi Guabi!!!! But what does it mean?
I like this better every time I hear it.
Jesus, make it stop.
Actually, if you use Guabi Guabi for a dipping sauce, Pork Tornadoes are edible. (which is probably a better use for it than being a band)

I\'m not sure why - but I REALLY don\'t care for this.
Great song with an interesting history. THanks for this excellent link!

Thanks for the warning, I was debating whether it would be worth taking a chance on the CD after hearing only one track.
I couldn\'t get this out of my head for three weeks, and that was surprisingly a good thing. Cool song...makes me long for a ocean breeze and a cold beer....

Aargh. I\'d just managed to get this song out of my head after it\'d been bumping around in there for a whole day, and now it\'s gonna be bouncing around for another day. Not a bad song, but now I gotta listen to RP awhile longer to get another tune in my head before I go home. This is a plot isn\'t it, Bill?
I know one can request songs, but I wish one could request never to hear a song again.
ok. this one was kinda interesting for a while. i mean, i had to give it a shot... but after hearing it a few more times, that damn vocal is just making me want to jump out the window. make the guabi guabi stop, already.
Catchy little tunski.
...i think i'll name my band "pork Tornado." it has a certain ring to it...
a certain rind maybe
not my thing, really, but the instrumental work was decent. and hey, you have to give them points for the title of the song. i think i\'ll name my band \"pork Tornado.\" it has a certain ring to it...
heh, the \"frustrated\" icon is banging his head in exact time with this song. Though I\'m enjoying it more than he is...
