Wow, how did Bill find a song whose intro/chords sound just like Steely Dan's "Midnight Cruiser" so that he could seque from Royal Scam into this? Amazing!

This seque actually gave me goosebumps. I'd never heard of Underworld before. Instant 8, at least when played as a seque to Royal Scam. Bill, you are the best.

That was one of the sweetest transitions I've heard on RP.
You must start playing Bill Frisell.
New to me. This is very nice.

Agreed sampled tracks from this disc and didn't like enuff to buy. Other recommendations?
Ok RPeeps. I've enjoyed the Underworld tracks heard here on RP. Over past 2 years have been expanding electronic genre library (love all genres) Plz recommend Best overall disc for Underworld. Let the debate begin!

Not a favorite Underworld song (nor album) of mine, but excellent they get play here. If you like inspired electronic music, check them out. They aren't just chillout, trace, house, or 80s synth pop (for those that heard them in the 80s) they cover a variety of electronic genres within and between albums. Very creative bunch when it comes to music and imagery (https://www.underworldlive.com). One of my all time favorite artists because they evolve their sound so impressively from album to album. I finally had a chance to see them in Denver this summer. Originally billed for Red Rocks, but ended up at the Fillmore (Denver). Still a thrill because I thought I'd have to travel NYC/LA/Miami/internationally to see them.
Mere toilet paper.
9. Pleeze more Underworld--dubnobasswitmyheadman, secondtoughestintheinfants, beaucoupfish are all phenominal!
And thank BILL he does! Some of these lists are just magical and belong together.

Other than that, the list is great!

Muzak.
I prefer to call it "simplicity," which is fine. If more is required, a listener may consider adding something to his or her life (something besides an audio input, that is). Or just wait for the next tune that comes along. Oh, and speak of the devil, here it is.
Muzak.
Drum and Bass meets Folk meets Jazz. I like it.
Aside from the Steely Dan, this has been the absolute worst playlist ever!
When does the drum machine turn off and the music start?

Just a reminder. Uh, please upload 8-Ball when you get a chance. There you go.
Well, I uploaded it and it was one of those baffling 20 yes, 0 no things that didn't get added.
Much more listenable than anything on my Dubnobass... disc. Either that, or this just hit me at the right time.

I first heard Underworld on RP and rushed to buy "A Hundred Days Off." Absolutlely love this album. Thanks for the intro!
Reminds me of Jean Luc Ponte(?) a 5.
Damn, just missed it.
Heh, thought it was the intro to Whitesnake's "here I go again". Wouldn't mind hearing that track here btw. I know it's hair-metal and all but I like it.

yea .... nice .... this is the first time I've heard this ... :nodhead:
Hadn't caught this track yet....DIG IT!! :sunny.gif:
The main theme is quite like Jimi Hendrix' main guitar theme in Third Stone from the Sun. Nice groove though. Very transparent sound.
Fun stuff. Melody is repetitive, but I don't seem to get tired of it for some reason.

Reminds me, texturally, of a '70's band called Jade Warrior. Particularly the release, "Waves" which Steve Winwood contributed to.
I heard Jade Warrior in there too....nice call. If I had it on CD I'd upload "Monkey Chant".
Hold it right there!
Being lulled into.....oblivion.
Not what I am used to from underworld
Groovy
This is very nice, and for some reason I feel it would be perfect with Joe Satriani wailing around and through it.
Just bought this on Amazon through the RP link. Thanks Bill, I\'m a big techno/house guy.
When I hear this I think about looking over a body of water during sunrise/sunset & seeing the light sparkling all over.
I have recently been turned on to this band. So far I like everything I have heard from them. Sounds great on Paradise.
UNDERWORLD! UNDERWORLD! UNDERWORLD!! Enough can\'t be said about these guys, so I\'m not even going to try. Thanks for playing!!!
i used to like underworld, not heard this before, disappointing.
WOW! Thanks so much for playing some of the new stuff from this mindbending group. I would love to hear much much more, older stuff as well.
