Call me ignorant (in this case I cetainly am), but how is this piece from a French group Indian? I can tell that it isn't in Ionian or Aeolian modes, but is there something specifically Indian about this piece of music?

and yes, I know that they released an album of Indian fusion music with Rahul Sharma in 2013 - but this is not from that album

I really Like this. I used to listen to a lot of Hearts of Space back in the day then I got turned onto RP back in 2006 or so. I still have some HofS cd's but this is the very reason I love RP.  Many thanks Bill and Rebecca!  I swear I heard a hammer dulcimer in there somewhere...

Sounds both Israeli and Indian, at the same time. Vocals have that Indian (Eastern as well as Native American) sound. Very different. Not bad.

I really enjoy this CD. Other than this song, I'd also recommend "Freedom Cry" or Bulgarian Melody". Perhaps they would get higher ratings on RP.

uh...errr....ummm....well I'm tempted not to identify myself as something of a Deep Forest fan with this number playing. I've heretofor been spared(or perhaps,on second thought this is why I didn't buy one of their CDs). Quite embarrassingly bad. Bill's taste generally seems to screen out the worst examples of eclectic excess. Wonder what happened here.
