I think the lyrics are pulled from "lyric sites" like AZLyrics and Metrolyrics, which seem to use phonetic, speech-to-text software; I doubt anyone is typing out all those lyrics.  That is probably why they often include inaccurate homonyms or similar-sounding words.  Anyhow, nice tune.

Drums are unusual in this... I have a feeling they've either been sampled or are samples from elsewhere, but fit in really nicely with the rest of the track.

Love the album cover too, simple yet thought provoking for some reason I can't pin down!

The 'reverse pyromaniac' phrase is pretty clear in context:

She's sitting there, not giving in, and by not doing anything stokes the fire inside the other person. She's causing him to burn more for her by holding back and doing nothing.

A reverse pyromaniac is some idiot who started something s/he thought would turn out one way, but completely went in the opposite direction than s/he had anticipated.  So in order to cover her/his ass, s/he tries to put things in reverse.  For example, let's say you thought someone would end up burning down the house, but instead s/he wanted to fix the house.  Well, then you would pull a reverse pyromania stunt.  CYA.  Get it?

For some reason, I like that cover.  It's primitivist (the bold lines), it speaks to "Starry Night," it's creepy (the power lines), it's sad (the power lines against the green hills and the starry sky), and it evokes wide open places — makes me feel like I'm travelling along a Western road in spring.

I love Aimee Mann's music, particularly because it touches the deeper feelings of melancholy. Therefore, it's not everyday music for me, but still really like it. And I think this song is definitely about drugs. Not only the heroin reference, but it's called "High on Sunday 51". Duh.

This seems to be about an addiction - probably a relationship. I don't think the title is a reference to Christmas or the holidays. The reverse pyromania seems to be about stopping a (metaphorical) fire or preventing one to watch the pyro attempt to start one again. A relationship thing? A drug thing also? Hell if I know ...I have to get back to work.

I like the movie too. Some things did not work (i.e. the frogs) but otherwise it was ok. I thought the first, maybe 30 minutes or so were fantastic. This is a good CD (actually had it in the car on a business road trip yesterday). Not as good as Bachelor Number 2, but still good nonetheless.

I love this song, I even bought the album. Aimee Mann is definately depressing stuff, but thats what great about her. Alot of the songs on this albumm make me feel better because she\'s so depressed, its soulful. I think this song is really clever because she says, \"Let me be your heroin\" but it could easily heard as \"Let me be your heroine\".
