Wonderful interplay of notes on that opening guitar riff. Lotsa great energy in this one and have loved it since it first came out in the 60's.

Well that takes me back a year or two! And just in case there's some confusion the Easybeats version was the original, written by  Vanda & Young and recorded in 1966, covered subsequently by everyman and his dog.

This is so good! It's outstanding in a field all by itself. This is one of the best reasons why the music of the sixties will never be topped. It's nice to be reminded that someone other than Bowie did this even though his version was great too. The Easybeats version of this song crystalizes some of the best moments of the sixties for me. Been years since I heard this. I used to listen to a classic rock station that was privately owned in LaRose, LA they played the classic stuff not overplayed on the other classic stations. They changed to cajun music and I lost the only good classic station around. At least the good New Rock/Alternative station has escaped the grips of ClearChannel. If only RP was on XM...... <-o<
