My opinion can change today.
I'm responsible anyway.
Second to third-hand information
complicates the complication.
I don't think before I speak,
and I don't know how far my words reach.
So wrong nearly every time
that I'm sorry I speak my mind
if what I said was unkind.

Now it feels like I'm on fire.
It's burning the world through.
Don't hold it against me
'cause I know you're lying too.

Is there any need for apologies?
There's no reason to believe me.
Judgements born in my jealous mind
creeping inside outside.
Connections I've made never follow through
and sooner or later disappoint you.
I'll cross you twice when your back is turned.
That's how I've learned
that someone has got to be burned.

Now it feels like I'm on fire.
These words are not the truth.
Don't hold it against me
'cause I know you're lying too.

It feels like I'm on fire
It's burning the world through.
Don't let me fall
without someone to hold on to.
Someone to hold on to.
Someone to hold on to.

Me too!
I like it!
Album art, this is where sick pirates get their medication. Sorry 🙄 Cool song too!
Looking at the Wikipedia info for this band is like looking at a list of addresses where I lived before moving to Missouri when I turned six. I was born in Holyoke and lived in Northampton & Westfield (western Mass, not Beantown). Probably would've grown up with this music if we hadn't moved instead of just being aware of them.
Ahhhh...I love me some Lo-Fi goodness.
Great album.

Given that there are those in Texas (you apparently among them) with a similar mindset as Georgia, your comment is hardly an insult.

And neither is yours.  Cheers.

Fucking beautiful...

possibly the most overlooked songwriter in R'n'R !
A drugstore labelled "Harmacy" on the cover!  Isn't that a funny coincidence!?!?  Wait.  They probably did that intentionally, huh?  Oh well.
3.5 - Lackluster... but then luster isn't for everyone.

I second that. A very talented man. I'm hoping he and the other dude from Folk Implosion will make another record.

I LOVE LOU

Saw these guys on the Bakesale tour—they were great! Lou, J. Lowenstein (who also did some tracks w/ The Palace Brothers, for all you Will Oldham fans) and (can't remember the other dude's name) kept switching it up through the show drums to bass to guitar. The double album of their first recordings "FreedWeed" is quintessential lo-fi. Thanks for the Sebadoh!

Thank you for reminding me why I got the hell out of Georgia and never looked back.

The lyrics sound like he got a bucketfull of words and just threw them on the songsheet.
Lou Barlow = best songwriter of the 90s. Still my favorite today.
Spirit of Radio.
R.E.M.-ish?  {#Whisper}

Sticks and Stones break pony bones. But seriously.

My favorite Sebadoh song from those I've heard on RP.
IMHO, the best Folk Implosion song is No Need to Worry.
16 hsp and Sebadoh back to back. I knew there was a reason I got out of bed today.
sounds good to me
Sounds like a BHTATM riff.

1) Lou Barlow the lead singer / song-writer of "Sebadoh" was originally the Bass player for "Dinosaur Jr." 2) After that ended, he formed the "low fi" alt rock group "Sebadoh." 3) At the same time he also started the side project "Folk Implosion." 4) "Natural One" for some reason became a hit with the mainstream and thus many know about "Folk Implosion" but do not know about "Sebadoh." 5) The name "Sebadoh" was chosen because if you say the word into a 4 Track and then play it backwards apparently it sound like "We're the Best." Early demos & recordings of "Sebadoh" were done on Analog four tracks. Nice background info , on a nice band! Anyway, Lou and the boys are an excellent band. If you want to check them out further go pick up the CD "Bakesale" - it is their best one....
someone said that the lead guy from this band went on to form the band Folk Implosion. is that right? anyway, i'm happy to hear this. would have loved to have heard Prince-S, too.

The guitar is reminiscent of later Pearl Jam at times, though I'd have to think PJ scooped it from Sebadoh if this was really done in '96.

Yes, Nick Drake, that is who the singer sounds like... Great littl tune...
But you can understand everything he says ! Not a slam on Nick as I like a lot of music where It's next to impossible to follow the lyric.
