I've been dreaming
Of the things I've learnt about a boy
Who's bleeding, celebrate to elevate
The joy is not the same without the pain

Ooh

Ipso facto
Using up your oxygen, you know I'm shallow
Calling out for extra help
You've got to let me in or let me out

Ooh, something to talk about
Yeah, something to talk about

I've been dreaming
Of the things I've learnt about a boy
Who's leaving nothing else to chance again
You've got to let me in or let me out

Ooh, something to talk about
Yeah, something to talk about

Fantastically funny film; worth watching!
about a badly drawn boy.
mildly entertaining pop. solid 6 (filler for a friday afternoon). they can't all be 8's and 9's.

BillG, I took careful note.

haha, awesome segue from Wild Colonials, "Spark" - always wondered what Bill would do with that outro.

Strong work, as usual!

I will be honest unless there is direct, obvious song title subject connection between songs, I do not even understand the concept of segue in regards to song playing order. It is a totally subjective thing, I just wanna hear a bunch of songs that I like in a row. The mere mention of segue in regards to DJing is just total pretentious bullshit IMO. But, that's just me.

BTW, great song (though overplayed).

The movie and music worked so well together. Love both.

I agree with your comment. This is a rare event and is either a cause for celebration or for quiet contemplation....or both. {#Think}

I was thinking flaccid, but pallid works too.

Then I'd sure hate to hear your least favorite.

IMO Badly Drawn Boy deserves as much attention as Elliott Smith, Coldplay, etc.
I thought it WAS Elliott at first.

This song makes me covet the soundtrack. Have I been duped by the sweetness of the movie, or is the rest of the album any good?
Oh Yes - and please don't stop at this album get hold of the rest - especially Bewilderbeast The man is a genius

Absolutely perfect segue from Wild Colonials.

Dull, dull, dull. Sacharrine for the ears. Totally forgettable.
My favorite BDB song!

Kind of reminds me of a song that they would do during the music montage portion of a Scooby Doo episode. Kind of fun!
Well said! Thought I was gonna have to start skipping along there for a minute. Maybe I'll just grab a scooby snack and wait for the 'monster' to be unmasked. Shoulda known it'd be him/her

i like this one. call me crazy.
How many songs do you know that have the words "Ipso facto" in the lyrics?

Love the song, the soundtrack, the book, and the movie. ABOUT A BOY was the best film of 2002 for my money. And the book is indeed a great read with an entirely different slant than the movie chose.
Completely agree. Sweet stuff. 8)
****My warning to anyone who has not heard this entire soundtrack**** once it goes into your CD player, it will not leave, and why would you want it to?? I will say the same about the DVD, I rented it so many times that it was more economically beneficial to buy it, finally.
I uploaded "Peak you Reach" from this S/T a few weeks back. Ratings on the LRC are favorable, but no conversion to playlist yet!

Well said. EXACTLY how I feel. One of the best movie adaptations of an amazing book that I've seen in a while.

This is a good song, but I agree with the other posters that his stuff from Have You Fed The Fish and Bewilderbeest are even better.
I nominate: "You Were Right", "All Possibilities". "Have You Fed The Fish" and "Born Again".
Quality song and flick. Also, the book rocks.

Had heard a lot of hype..now I know. Very nice. Better late than never.
Damon Gough is an amazing talent. This is a great album. Definately pick up Have You Fed the Fish.
I love this group, They were in San Diego a couple of months ago and put on a great show.
I just saw that movie \'About a boy\'. This was a great theme. There\'s something about acoustic guitar in movie soundtracks -- The Graduate, Harold and Maude -- very effective
Need to get this album. Just picked up \"Have You Fed The Fish\" - that is an excellent work. This guy is really putting out some great music.
Would really like to hear \"You Were Right\", please. Thanks.
Very nice song. I love Badly Drawn Boy. Thanks for playing it. That something to talk about...

Yow, you're playing Badly Drawn Boy, I am thrilled and impressed, this isn't a well-known group outside of the U.K. Excellent selection Bill, play more B.D.B. Cheers Jacques Radio Paradise: What Radio Could Have Been
