Black bird slow and softly breaks a glass of wine
Broken bluesy whisper sing to me tonight

Well, everybody wants to go forever
I just wanna burn up hard and bright
I just wanna be your firecracker
And maybe be your baby tonight
Maybe be your baby tonight

Lady, your kicks of silence cough into your room
Kiss me slow and softly make me dream of you

Well, everybody wants to go forever
I just wanna burn up hard and bright
I just wanna be your firecracker
And maybe be your baby tonight
Maybe be your baby tonight

So when does the plane go down
'Cause I'm gonna ride it till it hits the ground
Then go out with a fight
'Cause I just wanna be your baby tonight

\"Maybe be your baby tonight\" Great track, keep it rolling! The harmonica is a wonderful instrument...

Musta learned how to play crappy harmonica from the crappy harmonica master, Bob Dylan. Sucko-Barfo

he's from new york. he loves new york. the video was filmed on september 7, 2001. give him a break, he shouldn't be held responsible because stupid MTV hypes him up.
Zzzzz.
I\'m glad you have a \"ho-hum\" rating, because that perfectly describes this song. May be its my mood but the past half hour has seems to have been full of snoozers.
It\'ll be interesting to see how this song holds up over time. Perhaps it is only so good within the context of the album and as a follow up to his original lp - maybe it will go the way of Toad and hearing the individual track so far out of context makes me cringe.

ordinary or not, it towers above 99% of the crap that came out last year. one of the best albums of 2001, without a doubt (IMO)

not horrible, but not really anything special either. ho-hum. actually, on another listen, I will have to downgrade my rating to "Sucko-Barfo"... this is really pretty boring.
Just a damn good songwriter and performer as well. There aren't too many these days (new ones, I mean) so it's not strange he gets so much attention. But to say it's only for that reason, wouldn't be fair. Time will tell.
