I rode in a boat
With concrete women
They like their coca-colas
plasticine
These witches of the rocky shores
cast their spells by whipping stones
against my skull
Makes my days roll
like thunder
but when all I was,
was really bored

Now I might be thinking it's over
looking around the theatre for a girl
and you might be drifting upon these
same waves

Your hands are law
Your hands are law

And so I've weaved
many webs
cause in my hands my heart
is shakin' yea
cause on your velvet throne
all my babies scream so tenderly
back to the womb they cry for

Now I might be thinking it's over
looking around the theatre for a girl
and you might be drifiting upon these
same waves

Your hands are law
Your hands are law

Annoying and catchy. Like Counting Crow with testosterone.

What's that? "5 Decent" "3 Formulaic"

Do more listens make it more catchy or more annoying?

Lyric sucks. Okay. 2.
saw them in concert..... lead singer seemed very bored.........

just going thru the motion......... and not much of that........
These guys know more than 4 words?
I don't know whether I find this piece irritating or interesting.  The opening is annoying and the singer sounds a little too much like the guy from Crash Test Dummies for me take his voice seriously...

...but that's a mighty catchy chorus hook.

I thought I heard Michael Glibicki's voice.
Nice to hear them on RP.

Looking at the lyrics, which are pretty abstract, I suggest that he obeys his woman's every touch. It seems to me a kind of awkward way of saying that he really like, digs her, or something. Her every touch commands him.

I came on to post the exact same question.  I have to say, "Wooooooaaaaa, Dr. Hooey!"  Very good, I never would have thought of that, but it is a very plausible interpretation!  And one that raises the song up 3 or 4 notches in my estimation.  I have know women with that kind of touch, and it is the law!

They're from Pittsburgh. Got to play with them a few times when I still lived there. Good stuff. Haven't heard this new one before. I'm liking it though.

Oh Wow!!! I so totally DON'T agree....I like it a lot. That being said, I don't understand what "hands are law" means. But that's ok.

Nice groove suggesting motion. Good hand-claps and I like the female voices in the background. Nice tune. A definate 7.
Anther strong candidate for a \"5\" rating.
yep. it sure is rusted root.
I uploaded \"Welcome To My Party\" by RR, I understand that, but alas it got a prolly not.
Can anyone suggest a possible interpretation of the phrase \"your hands are law\"? I\'m clueless.

Bill, I'm truly hoping your nomadic diversity someday translates into true diversity in the playlist. "Featured Artists" suck the life out the stream. Not to mention it creates a paradise/hell paradox.
Oh wow, I totally agree!
Not bad. Good background while your working.
I\'m starting to like RR... the first time I heard them was on the \"Twister\" Soundtrack of all places, and didn\'t think much of them... The more I hear, though...
Hey, aint that the guitar riff from Paul McCartney\'s Listen What The Man Said? Pretty much so, I think. Kinda like the song. His voice is the right one for a melody like this one. Don\'t know if I would appreciate a whole album with him as a singer, though.
i kinda like the rootsy feel to this one. sorry (8?>>. i do know how you feel though. there\'s many a song thats been ruined by over play. i guess i haven\'t heard this one enough.
This songs brightens my mood. :)
