You say that once knew for sure
But now you're walkin' into shore to wonder*
The more you learn the less you know
The more you move the more you go to nowhere*
You ask a bird as she flies by
Just where she's at she says, where the wind blows*
Ask her by that what she means
She says she doesn't know
But as she flew away she seemed to say

The wind is love is the wind
Wind is my love
Who knows the wind
Who knows my love
Where blows the wind
The wind is my love

You say you staggered to your room
Sleep by day and plot by noon
Your conscious plight
Pack your dreams, you move away
Decide to eat and live by day
And leave the night
City sun blinks in your eyes
You shade your face and realize
a lonely crowd
Then at once you feel the smile
And then the ice warm air moves by
She says the breeze provokes her sigh

The wind is love is the wind
Wind is my love
Who knows the wind
Who knows my love
Where blows the wind
The wind is my love

You say you found another spring
Another joy or human thing
Called lovers
You play your role as a comedy
Refreshing well the tradgedy
Your living
Lovers shore, or so you say
Like the wind love blew away
But as she left she seemed to say

The wind is love is the wind
Wind is my love
Who knows the wind
Who knows my love
Where blows the wind
The wind is my love

Hey, this song is like really bad.

How do you use like in a sentence?
We use like to talk about things or people which we enjoy or feel positive about:like + noun phrase. I like Sarah but I don't like her brother much. ...like + -ing. I like swimming before breakfast. ...like + to-infinitive. She likes to go and see her parents at the weekend. ...like + wh-clause. I don't like what he did.

"like"?  Why can't people say what they mean?
Had never heard this before, and guessed from the overall vibe it was out of the 60s. Sure enough, 1967, summer of love. Never heard of Circus Maximus either. It's really dated, with the Vince Guiraldi soundtrack and the Tom Jones delivery.
Hmmmm. I do find this trite and boring. And I think I would have found it the same back in 1967. Just my opinion.
The melody starts off well enough - nice chords - then they somehow get lost around halfway through.  It starts with that guitar solo that stumbles into the wrong scales and keys and that absurdly disconnected piano "solo" which seems to have been dubbed from an entirely different song.  I remember hearing this song on the radio long ago -WNEW-FM in NYC.

  Ha Ha true!

Just cause its old doesn't mean it is memorable.  The Wind? It blows!  This one should have been left tucked away somewhere.  But hey, that's my opinion. {#Eek}
I love the diversity here since the beginning, but this particular song is Suckus Maximus

Boy, haven't heard that in ages! Okay, maybe a tiny bit cheesy, but very nice anyway. Brings back memories of when there were decent stations around DC.

WHFS, baby!
I think this was background music for a 1970s porn movie!  You know...filler in between scenes.
I find it hard to believe out of 5 guys the singer they chose has the best voice.
Don't care what most people say, I am in a kind of trance with this stuff...
Although I'm certain this one will be sorely underappreciated these days, just a quick thanks for pulling this one back into the rotation, Bill . Lots of fond memories!

I agree with Wikipedia's take:

Circus Maximus may also refer to:  <blank>
I might go for a four minute version, but eight minutes is the band being overindulgent.
So cool it’s forgotten
I'm not sure if I like this song or not, but it definitely makes me feel like I'm floating around on a sailboat which is kind of cool.
ok I gave this a high score to neutralize some of the negativity,.... and because I was present in the 60's when this track (and others) preceeded commercial success of Jerry Jeff Walker (mostly by others originally) and Bob Bruno was a savant. of  a different stripe.

Thanks for the memories BIll,,,,this was good and somewhat of a risk 50 years ago, in the advent of classic music and I like to hear it.
Kind of sounds like Johnny Depp's voice in Sweeney Todd
Wow. Dig the cover art.
If your only musical genre is "jangle the nerves" then you won't like any soft rock, melodic jazz, flowing classical, soothing New Age, traditional or modern folk, grass roots R&B, blues, classic soul, and others that stimulate the serotonin instead of only the adrenalin.  Please accept my condolences.  "Wind" by Circus Maximus is a gem of romantic balladeering that speaks to anyone who has ever experienced and recognised honest emotions and has the maturity to relate it to their own and other real lives or who just likes a relaxing melody. In addition to the above listed genres, I also like lots of hard rock and some techno, fusion, and others with an identifiable tune.  There are dozens of No. 1 hits that deserve their status and on-going popularity but "Wind" by Circus Maximus remains my favourite song of all time and is truly forgotten gold.
yep. this one is certainly a stinker.
Interminable.
Hey, I liked it back when, I like it now.
Hey, this song is like really bad.
"the wind is my love"?? I vaguely remember these guys but now they sound like an SNL parody of a Andy Williams/Bobby Darin made-for-TV special.
sounds like a poor attempt at sounding like Traffic(reminds me of low spark of high heeled boys.
This song is a great example of one of the reasons why I enjoy RP. It was an OK song a long time ago and not any better now. But I can\'t think of many other places where I\'d ever hear this song again. Definitely not on broadcast radio.
Not so good.
I think not.
Interesting tune from a band with the guy that sang \'Up Against the Wall Redneck Mother\'.
I would need a lot more flashbacks to remember why I used to like this song. Didn\'t age well, I\'m afraid. Samiyam

I like it, brings back memories. Remember hearing this in my first car on WHCN back when I lived in CT.(I had an under dash 8-track with built in FM). I always thought it was a cool, jazzy kinda tune, good \"parking\" music. :D
