I saw/heard Amy several times in 2010 opening for JP, Chrissie and the Fairground Boys and was very impressed. Check out Amy's latest record, "You Go Your Way". Some good tunes here I would like to hear on RP.
Great to hear Amy, but this song doesn\'t showcase her voice. First saw Amy a few years back when she was part of \"The Girls Room\" tour, showcasing Capitol\'s female artists. Amy opened the show with a gutsy acapella song, and I instantly fell in love with her voice. She had a few other memorable songs, especially \"The Bike\". Good songwriting, great perfomer. Her cellist had an aluminum cello. Very cool. I\'d love to hear more!
Its just sort of there in a pleasant way. Not great, not awful. Just sort of nice background music. Something to hum along too while you\'re making sandwiches in the morning, something like that.
I don\'t know if she is trying to sound like anyone else or not but I like this song. She has a nice voice.
If there was one perfect example of \"sucko-barfo\" this might be it.
Nice tune
