Holy negative comments! Good tune. It\'s easy to ignore the fact that it has been overplayed on AC stations, though for those who it isn\'t as easy: just use your imagination. RP isn\'t about NOT playing current hits - it\'s about pulling the decent tunes out of the mix. https://www.billboard.com/billboard/charts/airplay/adult.jsp to look at the Adult Contemporary chart. Cheers, Blarg!
yes... I actually didn't here this song play, but being that it was listed on the playlist made me cringe. I'd also agree with all the posts in that this is pretty bad. The radio station I listen to at work plays this *way* too much. Even so, the song itself is really weak. It sounds like the guy has a hard time trying to sing.

Ditto!
This song sucks top 40 ass.

This song is not textured/nuanced enough to withstand the massive air play it has received-please drop it for a while.
Oh my god, I hear this lame song so much that I fear I will start shooting.
Fine lyrics, I can see that after twenty or so listenings I might like to have a break, but on first listening it\'s purty good. :) Samiyam
This song cracks me up. It\'s not easy being Jimmy Olsen either!

Perhaps you're eating at Applebee's too much. :D

I just wrote the lyrics off as being simplistic. Thanks for your insight. I now here this song in a completely new perspective.
I think the comment of the previous listener misses the point. The singer isn\'t feeling pity for himself. Rather, the lyrics are from the perspective of a hero, in this case superman. The hero is trying to get the listener to understand that the hero is just a person, that has the same struggles that all other people have. That being said, I like the song, and I like a lot of the \'superman\' themed songs that have come out over that past serveral years. Maybe Bill will delightus with a superman themed set list in the near future. Thanks for the great radio station, it makes the workday go by quicker. Johnny
