I saw a light, just up ahead
But I couldn't seem to rise up from my bed
I'm not alone, than I am
People seem to think I'm superman
But I watch for the love
I'm living in the day of the eagle, the eagle not the, dove

Its like a weight, that brings me down
If I don't move, I'm on the ground
Its in my mind, it's in my soul
Its telling me the things I can't be told
Its a watch for the love
Living in the day of the eagle, eagle not the, dove

Another day, another night
I want to love, they want to fight
I need the time, I got to be alone
I got to meet a lover on my own
I watch for the love
Living in the day of the eagle, eagle not the, dove

It's kind of convoluted, but it's a painting of a sculpture of a Mobius strip - done by Paul Olsen, who apparently did a few covers for Robin Trower.

Thanks, Proclivities. I'd always assumed it was a 3-D rendering of the sonic waves emanating from Mr Trower's stack of Marshalls.

And yes, THIS IS BANGIN'
Wow. This does this transport me to a completely different time.
Not sure why I gave this a 1 - Must have been in a pretty bad mood that day. Bumped it up quite a bit today.
Dang, Robin. You got old, like me!

Too rolling stoned to care.

Steve Stevens does a super version of this.
I remember this overblown soulless "virtuoso" from the 70s. Rubbish then and rubbish now.

I love that typical 70's rock ... so very good, the sound is outstanding.

Randy Hansen was a Hendrix impersonator, albeit the first and a very good one.  I think Robin Trower took inspiration from Hendrix and ran with it, as did Joe Satriani and so many others.  Set your bias aside for a moment and try "Daydream" with full volume, your eyes closed and no interruptions and maybe get some insight into what Trower was looking for.

Why don't you just make ten louder and make ten be the top number and make that a little louder?
Time to crank it up
It be bangin'
Any Trower is welcome, but he's still regularly putting out outstanding material and yet nothing from this century seems to make it onto playlists. There's over 11 releases to choose from, give them a try!!
We used to call him the "White" Hendrix back in the day.
YES! this just makes me want to leap around and play air guitar, what a maestro! Thank you for playing this!

Great guitarist. I still enjoy listening to him on the original Procul Harem tracks.
Listened to this album for hours and hours when it first came out. Still holds up.
The more I hear this with FLAC quality, the more I like it!
Always hear Hendrix when this plays

I don't  think  so, not when you are the only doing it at the time.

As I recall, I had two-fer weekend- Fleetwood Mac one night and Robin Trower the next. Those were the days.....
Turn it up!

I've got two vinyls, and my covers are green and orange-ish... maybe decades of sun fade

A lot of things about this album -- and its pioneer sound -- were unusual when it was released in 1974 .  Like the dramatic break as you head into the outro ...

This song made my day!
Saw Robin Trower in New Orleans at theNew Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival 20 plus years ago. Actually, I lie, I couldn't get into the tent and had to peer around  the flaps at his nether half , but no fear, Mr T had his volume turned to 11 and all was well

It's a lug 'ole Daidy.

The whole album is great too, I saw him do this set live in the 70's (see buddy's comment) at my local Uni, mesmerising guitar work.

I saw Robin Trower live in Dallas in 1975 touring Bridge of Sighs. It was one of my favorite albums then and remains so today. Classic & timeless.
Blasting this from the car 8-track player back in the day. Ahhhh, the memories!

Ah, awesome music from high school daze!
What a heck of a start for a song! Got my attention right away.
 this rocks ...
I was 16 when this came out. . . I should listen to this album more often because it is an absolute classic.

Thanks for the reminder Bill.
Probably saw him on same tour in DC . It was tremendously good.

I had the honor of seeing him in concert back in the 70s.  Not very many people came to see him. His response?  "Fuck it, I'm going to play a long set just for you that showed up"   He proceeded to do just that. {#Guitarist}
One of the past greats! More please?

I was way outside the range of hearing and the guitar faintly came through from time to time and I had to run up and see the playlist and the closer I got the less I needed to see it.  Awwwww Robin Trower..............
There is a depth, an emotion, a relevance that speaks.  Robin Trower captures it for me.

I have read few more eloquent descriptions of anyone's emotional connection to music, especially a particular artist. Thanks.

This badass mofo was doing in the 1970s what Stevie Ray Vaughan was doing in the 1980s.

He was also doing what Pearl Jam was doing in the 1990s, but I don't remember what song that would be.

Robin Trower owns so hard.

What a fantastic sounding guitar.
This sounds better today than I remember, but I always loved it.  As far as comparing (especially to Hendrix), my ears are not homogenized.

I always thought Trower was the only one of the many Hendrix wannabes that actually sounded like him.

Ditto.  Ditto.  Bill, awesome!  Trower and Beck were both supposed to be "the next Jimi," after he died.  Too bad they only cut a couple of great albums.  I haven't heard this in ages.  Geez, I used to play the heck outta this one back in the '70's.  Oops, there I go again, dating myself.  It really confounds my efforts to be 29 every year on my Bday  {#Lol}
