I once had marigolds for eyes.
That seem to fade on sunny days.
When it's cold as the rain outside,
well then, so am I.

So when it comes down,
you'll know I'm with you.
And how could I show you?
It feels good to know.
It feels good to know you.

We once had oceans left to fly,
now the trees and the river
have parted ways.
When it seems like the fun has died,
well then, so have I.

So when it comes down,
you'll know I'm with you.
And how could I show you?
It feels good to know.
It feels good to know you.

And how will you know?
We storm from a small, thin line.
We're torn from the old frames.
There's no one here to pull you back again..

So when it comes down, you'll know.
Mmmmm, you'll know.

Helena? pulled to the ground.
(how do I show you?)
Should've known
soon she would come down.
Words were the first thing to go,
(it feels good to know)
the lie they would never show,

Helena...
(and how will you move?)
Helena...
(and how did I show you?)
Helena...
(I couldn't show you)
Helena...

It feels good to know.
It feels good to know you.
It feels good to know you.

Is it me? Hearing a lot of Everest in there. Great vocalists both.
Perfect timing , as it just started raining. But then, it's Oregon, so what are the odds?

Had to look to see if this was U2

wow. that'd be a stretch for me. i don't hear anything similar in the vocals or anything.

regardless, this is simply beautiful. a little heartbreaking, but really nice.

Yes; and that’s no bad thing!
Had to look to see if this was U2
Jeff Buckley-esque.
(or is it esk?)
Thought this was Turin Brakes FOR SURE ...

Sounds like Turin Brakes
Wow, this is kind of wonderful.

 Your opinion is correctly priced

Time for a purchase.  Everything played from Remy Zero agrees with my ears.  Thanks RP.

There is some similarity but this pre-dates his solo career.
Remy Zero was a wonderful "under the radar" band. Their self titled debut album was solid, but Villa Elaine was a significant step forward and their peak achievement -- really a noteworthy album IMO. If you like them, also check out Isidore which is a few of the Remy Zero band members teamed up with Steve Kilbey from The Church. Good stuff...

Same here.  Nice, smooth ballad.

This smooth yet melancholic song would go down well with a glass of Remy Martin in a French café. 8 from the Nottingham jury.

As an Ex Nottingham lad living in Singapore, I second that and will meet you down the Ole Trip for a few jars :)

Yessss! I've been waiting to hear Remy on RP - such a great band!  Check out the song "Prophecy," it is highly energetic/passionate and has me singing along often.

8 -> 9. Very nice!
i love this band
I like this set.  goes great with jeff, patti, and amy.
Could've sworn this was Ryan Adams.
Yeah the whole album is lovely.
I'd like to hear Rob Halford sing this

Guess we're not the only ones who think so -- Bill just segued into Volcano.
Is this produced by daniel lanois?
The sort of "heavenly", if you will, instrumentals are what make me like this song.
I once had Marigolds for eyes, but I quit taking acid.
Meh, an OK tune I guess, but nothing to write home about. 2 cents

Remy Zero, eh? First time I know of hearing this guy. Nice. Is he cajun? (I remember Remy Lebeau from X-Men)
Actually, Remy Zero isn't a real person: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Remy_zero The false story of the origin of the name is pretty interesting. It's so out-there that I figured it had to be true when I first read it years ago.

It never rains in Overland Park...does it?

Intresting you said it was raining... the music(guitars) give a visual of rain to me. Love the tone.
Excellent transition from Ismael Lo.
Great song to elevate my mood on a rainy day in KC.
I can't stand these blokes. every time I hear these people, I think 'Smallville'.

Please play more Remy Zero! This whole album is great!

I was thinking Tom 'WALKING TO HAWAII'-guy.

- good one.
Between this and "Gramarye" I think I'm really beginning to like this band. How's the rest of the album?

Strange. I heard this tune and linked to it in order to make the VERY same comment about Jeff Buckley. . .

Life in rain it is. Acid rain. Please make it stop.

Beautiful....
Wow! I didn\'t know they had it in them!
Beautiful and atmospheric tune. Reminds me of a bad time in my young life. A few years back after my fiance left me I wandered the streets drunk listening to this song pretending in my head that I was in some cheesy film. Lol. God I was pathetic a few years ago. Still, the song fit my mood perfectly, made her a mix cd with this song on it. We\'re friends now. Keep the greats coming
Glad to see someone in Murray is listening.

Don't let that bother you. The music is the key - and this has it deep in the grooves. (Damn, I need to get my turntable fixed one of these days.) I'm glad RP is playing this.

It is for songs like this that I tune into RP. Like air conditioning on a hot day ah... :p
Funny this gets played right after Radiohead. I always thought the guy in the back sounded EXACTLY like Thom. Not to mention to song sounding like so many other songs from bands that sound just like Radiohead, U2 or Buckley. This is a great album... from start to finish.
the voice in parts of this song sounds very much like Bright Eyes (the artist, not the song)
I\'ve really grown fond of this song. Maybe the lead singer does sound a little \"Bono\" ish, I actually prefer this guys voice. ...does sound a little like Tim Buckley too, again a good thing IMHO. :)
Sounds closer to Jeff Buckley then Bono to me. Either way sounds good to me.
This cut is reminiscent of Tim Buckley.
