Now that you got it right
Bring love and it'll make it alright
Bring love and we'll take it tonight
Now that you got it right

Who wants the sinner
Coming round for dinner
Who needs effects
Who needs to pay for sex
When they drop the bomb
Who will stay calm
Blood would spill
Who would you kill

Now that I understand this right
Let me take it to the mic
This revolution
Has just begun

Now that I understand this right
Let me take it to the mic
This revolution
Has just begun

Walking down the street with my little rude gun
Top of my gun pocket for fun
Block on my tongue
Top of my earth
Tip of my birth
Top of my earth
Tip of my breast
Top of my chest
Tip of my guess
I've got the singles
I got the jingles
Bet you eat pringles with chris kringles
Walking on the road with my little rude gun

Now that I understand this right
Let me take it to the mic
This revolution
Has just begun

Now that I understand this right
Let me take it to the mic
This revolution
Has just begun

Stepping on the street with my little rude girl
Tip of my toes, top of my world
Top of my world, top of my earth
Top of my rock, tip of my block

Now that you got it right
Bring love and I'll make it alright
Bring love and we'll take it tonight
Now that you got it right

Now that I understand this right
Let me take it to the mic
This revolution
Has just begun

She was born in the ghetto
Outside the Bronx
In a project blocks
Where time stands still
It dont tick it dont tock
Top of my sun
Keep all my love
Top of my chest
Tip of my breast
Top of my earth
Walking on the road
With my soul in my hand
Tip on my toes
Top of my span

Now that I understand this right
Let me take it to the mic
This revolution
Has just begun

Now that I understand this right
Let me take it to the mic
This revolution
Has just begun
Just begun
Just begun
Just begun, yeah, yeah

Now that I understand this right
Let me take it to the mic
This revolution
Has just begun

Now that I understand this right
Let me take it to the mic
This revolution
Has just begun
Just begun

Fantastic tune! One of my favorite Tricky's songs. Quality music, straight energy.
Wow! You just made my night!
Thank you RP for playing this excellent track.

Please keep on playing all kinds of music so we continue to have the splendid variety that keeps me here.
{#Stop}
This has something that draws me to listen carefully...compelling for certain
I miss Tricky!
Interesting-intriguing music for certain.  I thought it was Aaron English for a moment.
Love this. Takes me back. Great cover pic.

Yeah, I guess.  I have to say though, it just isn't for me.  Still glad to hear it though -- I like being exposed to music that, even if I don't like it, is at least something I'd never hear elsewhere.  Thanks to Bill and 'Becca for what they do!

I'm digging this...
What the hell, why is this... thing on?
This song makes me feel like I might have nightmares.
Actually , it makes me feel like I'm in a dark dream right now.
I like it.

song kicks ass

trip-hopping into a Pastime Paradise
...thanks RP - always something new -  (to my ears)
seems some would give him the Zorg treatment for real. Me, for some reason I love this.

Oh no! People shouting over music! Crime!

This is what I listen to RP for.

Brilliant.

I hate when that happens...
NO NO NO RP this is why I come to RP to get away from this CRAP !!!!!

Love this comment :)
Thank you RP!  You play the best tunes~
Why on Earth would you play this garbage? It's awful!!!

Absolutely right!  Where are the amazing tracks from those 2 albums?!
i love this radio station.

I don't have this album.  I'm going to rectify that very shortly.
Monos, the God of Pain.  Or maybe it's Uranus.

Agreed.

I like Tricky well enough..not my fav. track..but again..good to hear the set mixed up, bring it ALL on..I don't have to love it to enjoy it, you know what I mean?
Does not like.

Weird thing is, the longer it played, the more I liked it. Ended up with a 7, and curious about what some of his other stuff sounds like.

Bill, if reactions like mine are part of what you want RP to do, it's working. {#Clap}

this makes me smile
Thank God, its over.
Cool sound{#Dancingbanana_2}
Oh Bill, more like this, please!!! 8
This-a-a-suck
Difford, Tilbrook, Kowalcyzk - fascinating
Love the mix.
Neat-O!
Revolutionary Song. Great mix of Reggae dancehall, Hip Hop, and Rock
godlike!
YES!  Greatness!
Wow, Bill...always loved this song....With Ed Kowalcyk!!!!
wow, this really sucks.  :)
Mommy, I'm scared!
SWEEEEEET!!!  Love this song!  I think this is the first time I've heard it played on RP.  Rotate it in more often, please.  {#Tongue}
The only thing this song has going for it is that Yoko Ono has nothing to do with it.  But it sucks.
I think I would like this song without Live's lead singer in it. I typically like his stuff but the way he pronounces some of the words is annoying and his chorus is just out of place. I haven't listened to it in a while but I feel like there were better songs on the album than this one.
Oh hell no.

Hey I know RP is eclectic, I've preached that myself a hundred or more times, but not THIS, please. Please.
Intolerable.
Unfortunately there's not a way to click the "Thumbs Down" button and never hear the song again (like with Pand0^@). You'd think a < 6 rating would be enough of a message for listeners to be spared from the "Damien III" soundtrack, but in the spirit of 'diversity' I guess we're subject to it.

I've always heard Tricky as "Trip-Hop". Its a great album! I first heard it in a used CD store in a college town. I was browsing for CDs and kept going up to ask what song was playing, and they kept telling me "its still Tricky"...so I had to buy it. Now I can't get it away from my kids.

Nice cover art! What music genre is this?

lame
Always like this song, but they definitely get extra bonus points for the album cover!{#Cowboy}

I was like...oh hell no...then the song won me over.  It reminds me of the old days at RP. :)
Fresh.
This is a great CD overall. If I could rate the whole disk, it would be a 10.

I liked parts of this song, but other parts are annoying

Do tell.

Suggest a few songs I should check out.

Please end this revolution...
Either a 4 or an 8. Can't decide. Had both reactions over the course of the song. Will wait to rate.

10 just because Tricky's work is , almost by definition, godlike - but there are better tracks on his early albums... dirty, low-down grunty stuff that sound like raw sex in the mud.  Wicked.

I'll avoid the "Rap sucks" thing and just say that this music is marginal at best. Vocally boring, just rhyming with a beat. Repetive drum machine keeping the beat. I see very few musical features at all.
It can go away anytime.

Great track - first time I have been moved to comment this week!{#Roflol}
It transcends the sum of its parts. Cool and intelligent in the same pair of trousers. :)
I don't understand? "RP, gotta love it. It's entertaining AND educational without forcefeeding it to folk. Ace. " It's the radio, it's voluntary.

Because RP plays what it wants.  That's the beauty of it.

I knew about that one, but RP has taught me at least 10 originals for covers that I thought were the original (because I heard them first, and that version gets much more airplay).
What the hell is this, and why am I hearing on RP?

Love this tune
Loved him in Fifth Element too
Not my FAVORITE music, but very creative and interesting. Way better than 5.8, and way better than a lot of stuff that has gotten a lot better score.

I'm one of the old farts listening to RP...gave this one a 7...may bump it to an 8
Not bad. Catchy, and it's normally not my "cup of tea".

this was my first immediate thought too... hah
This song is much better than 5.8. Some of the raspy signature Tricky lyrics about 2/3 of the way through sound like a characature of themselves at this point, but the production is really nice and the beat helps.

I've been waking up to Mr Tricky for months, and every damn day it's delicious.
Thump, thump, thump, thump, thump...
My favourite of this album is "girls". Bill, if you read this, you know what to play!

Pretty good song - but lets not be having any Goldie on here. He (Tricky) was with Bjork for a bit, and had a part in the Fifth Element.
Like it.
Yet another first for me thanks to RP. I totally dig this song... would like to hear more from Tricky!
I would have never heard this without RP.
First time I've heard Tricky on RP! Hooray!!! I dig this entire album immensely!
I give it a 6, but three of those are silly points.
i love this song! it's just too damn catchy. it makes me want to dance. and ed's voice fits in perfectly!

iirc Tricky has some great tripp-hopp stuff, this however is not it.
That underlying synth string part is VERY similar to Coolio's "Gangsta's Paradise" But that doesn't matter, this is kinda fun
Didn't like it that much , But it's ok ...5\10

Heart is in the right place, but this is just barely adaquate, whatever genre it falls into.
I know what he really says, but it really sounds like the one dude is saying, "Dump on my Chest" in this song...
This is actually one of my top ten favorite songs in the universe. i'm amazed to hear it here--thought i'd put one of my mix cds in by accident! How cool.
This grows on ya! A fellow RP'er sent it to me and I play it in the classroom. The kids love it! Thanks, Rob!
Tricky - Bristol boy from the UK, came from the same stable and era as Massive Attack, Portishead - always a real treat.. enjoy.

That's for damn sure!
This is why I listen to RP. I would never find this stuff elsewhere.
It's got a sort of Shabba Ranks feel to it. But I like the main vocals. And I usually hate rap. Great hooks in it, too.

Euch. It's better than most rap (or rap-ish stuff), but I like my songs to have at least three chords... just two gets annoying real fast.
Bearing in mind that I generally hate rap, at least this has something that most rap lacks: an infusion of melody. Maybe other rappers might revist incorporating some melody into their stuff, rather than vacillating between two minor chords ad infinitum.
Whats the matter with U guys?? This rox :D

I'm usually against lots and lots of vocal effects. yeah, I'm against this song. The nicest thing I can say is it IS a change of pace.
Great voices... (His albums are usually a mixed bag, but this one was pretty solid)
I like it. F y'all.
Seems to be a crime to like this song here, but I'm enjoying it.
