Satellite in my eyes
Like a diamond in the sky
How I wonder.
Satellite strung from the moon
And the world your balloon
Peeping tom for the mother station.
Winter's cold, spring races
And the calm away by the storm is chasing
Everything good needs replacing
Look up, look down all around, hey satellite

Satellite, headlines read
Someone's secrets you've seen
Eyes and ears have been
Satellite dish in my yard
Tell me more, tell me more
Who's the king of your satellite castle?

Winter's cold spring erases
And the calm away by the storm is chasing
Everything good needs replacing
Look up, look down all around, hey satellite
Rest high above the clouds no resrictions
Television we bounce 'round the world
And while I spend these hours
Five senses reeling,
I laugh about this weatherman's satellite eyes.

Satellite in my eyes
Like a diamond in the sky
How i wonder.
Satellite strung from the moon
And the world your balloon
Peeping tom for the mother station

Winter's cold spring erases
And the calm away by the storm is chasing
Everything good needs replacing
Look up, look down all around, hey satellite

Rest high above the clouds no restrictions
Television you bounce from the world
And while I spend these hours
Five senses reeling
I laugh about this weatherman's satellite eyes.

i really want to dislike dave matthews, but i just can't bring myself to do it. sigh.
Crappy version of a decent song. Would rather hear the studio cut.

I agree completely. I can't stand anything I hear from this guy.

So true. If too many begin to like someone, their music loses quality in some peoples minds. It's trendy to not be trendy... for wannabe elitists at least. Keep in mind he grew in popularity because of his music and fun performances, and not vice versa.
I'll be the first to admit the bloom is off of DMB's rose. They've been played to death in commercial markets. But I still like their stuff. I cannot STAND their fans though; we were overrun at an outdoor show where we had reserved seats. And moshing? To Dave Matthews? Huh? Much of DMB's work is sort of melancholy, which may be why it speaks to me. His critics have valid points though; to each their own. c.

This guy is absolutely worshipped in every Frat house across the country. Somehow the fans seem to ruin the music.
I couldn't have said it better myself....although I fit that demographic just a few years ago.
I usually enjoy DMB, but this version of this song is horrible! Horrible I say!
Time for Dave bashing! I don't know why peeps get so pissed off at his music. At worst, it's just a tune like a lot of the other stuff we hear. I have been to several Dave concerts and always enjoyed them tremendously, as long as I could overlook the fans pouring beer all over me!
Could he be any more over rated?

Right on harmanjd... I heard him recently when he visited a radio station in LA and he came across quite the cocky, arrogant a**hole... And yes, sounds like a whiney puke
I like a lot of DM's stuff, but agree that he seems a bit of git. Must think he's Dave Matthews or something!
A brilliant transition from Bowie's Major Tom, although I prefer the studio version of this song.

Christ! It hasn\'t even been an hour since the last DMB song. Enough!
Jeezus, we just heard DM like a half hour ago. Enough, Bill!
