Comes a time
When you're driftin'
Comes a time
When you settle down
Comes a light
Feelin's liftin'
Lift that baby
Right up off the ground.

Oh, this old world
Keeps spinning round
It's a wonder tall trees
Ain't layin' down
There comes a time.

You and I we were captured
We took our souls
And we flew away
We were right
We were giving
That's how we kept
What we gave away.

Oh, this old world
Keeps spinning round
It's a wonder tall trees
Ain't layin' down
There comes a time.

Yes!  That Rogan and his Ivermectin lies!!!

Oh wait...the FDA just came out and said Ivermectin was fine to use against Covid?  (Like any sane person knew anyway)

......uhhhhh.....never mind.......

LOL making a stand for sh*t he knows NOTHING about.

The subsidized farmers are mostly growing feed for animals, not us.  We eat the animals of course, but its a damned inefficient and destructive system.  And the world would be a better place if we ate fewer of them.

What a great comment!

Neil's music does this to me quite often.
Some might have called it Country when it came out...and I don't think that I appreciated it as much at the time as I did his hard-rocking Rust Never Sleeps project that blasted things open so mightily a year later...but now I have to say that whatever it is, IT'S DAMN GOOD! and Comes a Time, indeed!

It was a huge public rallying cry that drew a lot of controversy and, " Jobs vs. the environment " debates. This outdoor concert was put together at the last minute to draw attention to the meeting and Neil Young was the headliner.

"Country" music existed long before Neil Young was born.   Great tune, in any era.

Oh such wonderful memories of my college years.

One of the best albums ever! With Nicollette Larson (RIP) singing harmonies.

Neil Young - Comes A Time, Live

(Live at Farm Aid 2011)

Neil Young performs "Comes A Time" after being introduced by John Mellencamp at LIVESTRONG Sporting Park in Kansas City on August 13, 2011. Farm Aid was started by Willie Nelson, Neil Young and John Mellencamp in 1985 to keep family farmers on the land and has worked since then to make sure everyone has access to good food from family farmers. Dave Matthews joined the board of directors in 2001.

Yes, and hell yes.

Such a wonderful song to hear on a (finally!) sunny Friday morning.
Long time ago, he wrote this, but i know the words of most of his songs like it was yesterday!

{#Notworthy} All Hail Neil!!!!   #27 on VH1 Top 100 all-time artists and that was a mis-justice!!!!!

Love the live version of this from Rust - but this - with Nicolette - is pretty damn good.

Nicolette's solos LPs are excellent as well. But she and Linda R. together on backup...priceless.

Yah, but what does Yoda know about music? Likes John Williams, he probably does.

A little bit over-produced, so I have to give it only a 9.
Love Neil Young, Love this song...but I'd like to hear some more rock on Rp rather than all this country folk stuff, too much country folk stuff.
No apologies.  I truly enjoy this man's work - all of it.

Such a great Young song. And yes, that is Larson on backing vocals.

Wonderful song! Neil has always been experimental, often prone to collaberation, always willing to test the bounderies. I say this only as a fan, albeit since the early seventies. There are many qualities to the voice, and Mr. Young's generally kicks ass. When I was 14, I used to wonder about his vocal ablities and his questionable talent on the guitar and harmonica; and yet I continued to buy the vinyl and wear it out on the turntable. Neil's gotten better, I've become a little wiser, and what can I say? Now when I listen, it's Nirvana.
Well said!

Wow. Don't think I've heard that one since the 70s...great tune.

Wow. Am I listening to Radio Neil Young? What is up with all the Young songs? My ears hurt!
another great tune from the master....
I understand that Neil Young is a legend and all - love the lyrics, the melody - his voice drives me crazy!
One of my all-time favorite Neil tunes...perhaps even my all-time favorite.
This is so REAL....Luv this guy....
He's the man....
damn this is a SWEET version of this song! Much snappier than the one on harvest :D
It was getting to be a bad set there...then Comes a Tme! That's OK with me. Classsic. This is a close to down home that I will get.
This just saved an otherwise pretty bad day. Thanks RP! and its a great version too.
Urgh...I'd give this a much higher rating if Neil Young's whiney, quakey voice wasn't droning over the otherwise pretty and pleasant music.
wonderful
Woo hoo! Had to crank this one up! Thanks for this one!
I hope Pjay liked it. ;)
