Not Henry Mancini. But pretty good!

Cuz I liked it!!  I went 7 to 8 today.....so there's another reason....Long Live RP!!

Can't you play the Henry Mancini version? This just doesn't have the excitement and power.
Love it. I have 3 of their albums Shadows on Telecasters. :-)
Courageous Cat and Minute Mouse procreated with Captain America.

Ditto!
What decade was this recorded in?
perhaps a purge moment?
Kinda like this, but wouldn't quite fit with the '58 TV show I remember....
The Frampton guitar-vocals do not fit well on this.
I like the ancient greek version....penis gunus..or was zat Roman..... Don't even go there!!!

I haven't heard a version of Peter Gunn yet that I didn't like. The original is still the best, but it's a rockin' little ditty no matter who's grinding the axe. c.
What he said.
Went and saw these guys play on a whim at the Belly Up Tavern one night. Mindblowing! This cover version of Peter Gunn is not the best example of their work in my opinion. Not bad though...
I like ELP and art of Noise's versions better.
These d00ds rock!
meh.

Started out with a seven because of nostalgia. Thought about it for a while and dropped it to a six. Then, when it dragged on for just a bit too long, it wound up a solid five.
EXXXactly!
Somewhat better than the original. I'd still rather hear Devo than this.

Ah ya
was going to give it a 5 until I saw the cover... 6 it is!
Bring on the Blues Brothers version of Peter Gunn!!! I give this a lackluster 4.

Good think I like this song, I played that game (sit down version thankfully) for 45 minutes on one quarter back in my university days.
Dude, your hand-eye coordination is clearly superior to my own ^_^
Bring on the Blues Brothers version of Peter Gunn!!!
now this brings back memories... this song's ok, rest of album is even better
Ah, not that impressed.
Been there, done that --- Cramps, Art of Noise, etc, etc.

I heard a Me First and the Gimmie Gimmies cover of Peter Gunn. Blew this thing out of the water. I'll have to try to find it or something.
SPYHUNTER!
I want to get this one for the cover alone!

Yes! The version we want. Not this.
Started out with a seven because of nostalgia. Thought about it for a while and dropped it to a six. Then, when it dragged on for just a bit too long, it wound up a solid five.

I was all set to give it a 4 until I heard the Framptonian "talking guitar" effect. Then it went down to a 2.
Hmmm, I had the same reaction...
For some reason, I just never get tired of Peter Gunn.
Its a concept album by 3 super pickers who happen to groove on Telecasters or Tele-like guitars (G&L ASATs for example) Will Ray, John Jorgensen and Jerry Donahue, all towering talents of guitar. bokey wrote:

Makes me long for the Duane Eddy/Art of Noise version. Makes me ache for the original.

What a fantastic album. Why play the worst track on it?It's a solid 7 but the rest of the album is killer.
Nice new nugget... guess the out of tune ness is supposed to add to the horror theme?
