Wake up Miss Maria I think that she been off
From falling off at Boston you're walking up a couple o' blocks
Yeah heaven knows I'm lonely, heaven knows I'm lonely now
Yeah heaven knows I'm lonely, heaven knows I'm lonely now

I'm kissin' ass on Monday, just want someone to hear my song
It's lonely at the bottom, that's why there's no-one hangin' around
Yeah heaven knows I'm lonely, heaven knows I'm lonely now
Yeah heaven knows I'm lonely, heaven knows I'm lonely now

Don't wake up Miss Christina 'cause she and I don't see eye to eye
Something 'bout some money, some night we spent together, oh my
Well heaven knows I'm lonely, heaven knows I'm lonely now
Yeah heaven knows I'm lonely, heaven knows I'm lonely now

Wake up Miss Maria 'cause I think she's been sleepin' it off
From falling off a bar stool, 'cause man you know that's lots o' hard work
Well heaven knows I'm lonely, heaven knows I'm lonely now
Yeah heaven knows I'm lonely, heaven knows I'm lonely now

(heaven knows I'm lonely, heaven knows I'm lonely now)
(heaven knows I'm lonely, heaven knows I'm lonely now)

Gosh that breaks my fuckin' heart.

Oh, he hates us too.

{#Lol}

This a good Cracker song that  I have not heard!  Thanks for playing

There are some Cracker tunes I really, really like - Sidi Ifni is a rare 10 in my book - but I'd much rather listen to The Smiths Heaven Knows I'm Miserable Now than this droney dirge. Sometimes Cracker are the dog's bollox, sometimes the dog's breakfast, and this is pure Winalot.

I've always been a fan of "Cracker"...actually bumped into them when I lived in Santa Cruz, CA - nice group of people.  Got good vibes.  :-)
The transition from R&G's Stairway to Heaven to this was a little jarring.

I like this. Might have to hear it a couple hundred times to either hate it or love it, but for now, I like it. {#Mrgreen}
Camper and Cracker today!

Good afternoon my Swedish friend, yes they are a fine band and have some very sweet songs.

I also love Opeth from your country!

I'm liking this.....a lot.
Most underrated band ever.

Wheather your buzzed, sober, or just kicked back with some wine they got some great music.

too bad this isn't followed by the smiths.

Totally agree, and came here to say the same thing.  How 'bout it, Bill - "Heaven Knows I'm Miserable Now"?
"Why do I smile at people who I'd much rather kick in the eye" - a Moz classic!

Too bad this isn't anything other than Cracker.

Unfortunately, "Low" was their high point.
Wrong. Wrong. Wrong. They have done some great work since Kerosene Hat. Pick up some of their later recordings. Good stuff. And one of the best live bands you'll ever see.
MY EARS!! Make it Stop

Probably just me, but this reminds me of a cross between Cake (horns/guitar/male vocal) and Happy Mondays (drum/piano/backing vocals). Not a bad tune...how's the rest of the album?
I'm hearing a wee bit of Velvet Underground / Lou Reed-ish vocals....just a bit.
Dang...thought this was Stephen Malkmus/ Pavement there for a sec... I thought I knew Cracker fairly well...and have got way well into Kerosene Hat for years and years...but had never heard this until now. Thanks a mil Bill for slappin' it on! Nice set, and I really dug this bit particularly well coming as it did after that righteously cool and bitchin' Pixies number!
Very, very good band...I disagree, I think Cake sounds more like them.

Didn\'t we hear Cracker already twice a couple hours ago?

I disagree. These guys have a lot of creativity, always had, even as Camper Van Beethovan, way back when. I really like this song, but then again, that's just my opinion. (pimp)
Unfortunately, \"Low\" was their high point.
