God. This is so "thud and drone", following, the old, boring formula of thud and drone guitars, boring drumming, fake angst/anger vocals.

When will this overplayed music genre die?

Well, not at the time. Today I hear their new song and it is rather trite, though still better than most of the junk on the mix station in Austin. Unfortunately that's where it now belongs. Sounds like Vertical Horizon. But this song, on the other... I still think this is their best since Pain Lies on the Riverside.

I have a similar reaction. I find myself liking this better than when it came out. I've always liked bands like Live because they are a diversion from the generic and the usual and are willing to experiment. Maybe it's just that it seems new again since much of the music today seems more lowkey.

You know, I used to poke a lot of fun at this band. I have to say this song is really cool. I think this band really did turn out to have more integrity than I gave them credit for in the \"Throwing Copper\" days. Its good!
