Where love goes, I will go too
Up twenty-nine flights of stairs
I won't say that I'll be true
But look and I'll be there
I won't say that I'll be glad
To make your heart my home
All considered, it's not too bad
But what can I call my own?
I don't know if you're on the level
Each thing in its proper time
I don't spit in the beer of the Devil
If the Devil don't spit in mine
Don't express your sweet affection
With a sharp left hook to the head
Nothing but static in that direction
Such love is already dead
Clap your hands and raise the power
Raise the power of love
Root, stem, seed, and flower
Prepare for the power of love
Sito oh whoa oh oh, sito, sito, sito
Sito oh whoa oh oh, sito, sito oh oh oh ohh, sito
What have I got? Now, what have I got
That I did not have before?
A French revolver I just bought
And a lock on the bedroom door
That don't mean that I don't believe in love
You know I do
Love to give and to receive
I just don't believe in you
Clap your hands and raise the power
Raise the power of love
Root, stem, seed, and flower
Prepare for the power of love
When love goes, I will go too
Down twenty-nine flights of stairs
I won't beg you to be true
I just won't be there
I won't say that I'll be sad
To bounce back on my own
All considered, it's not so bad
To wake up in the night alone
Clap your hands and raise the power
Raise the power of love
Root, stem, seed, and flower
Prepare for the power of love
Sito oh oh oh oh, sito, sito oh oh oh, sito
Sito oh oh oh oh, sito, sito oh oh oh, sito
Sito oh oh oh oh, sito, sito oh oh oh, sito (clap your hands and raise the power)
Sito oh oh oh oh, sito, sito oh oh oh, sito (clap your hands and raise the power)
Sito oh oh oh oh, sito, sito oh oh oh, sito (clap your hands and raise the power)
Sito oh oh oh oh, sito, sito oh oh oh, sito (clap your hands and raise the power)
Sito oh oh oh oh, sito, sito oh oh oh, sito (clap your hands and raise the power)
Sito oh oh oh oh, sito, sito oh oh oh, sito
Sito oh oh oh oh, sito, sito oh oh oh, sito
Sito oh oh oh oh, sito, sito oh oh oh, sito

I wore this CD out, thanks for bringing it today...the whole CD is this good.
Twirlin' in the kitchen...
I love the women group who are singing in his group, named The Mint Julips! Thanks Mickey for all the creative music over the years!

Something from the Diga Rhythm Band album...?-)

Tony in NJ
W.A.S.T.E.
Had to check if it was still Radio Paradise playing
OK I try to stick to the "if you don't have anything nice to say..." doctrine but that was pretty funny

Snore.
sounds VERY dated - i cannot find any essence in this - stale radio/bckground airplay. at least its also not annoying as latter often is
Great song!
Like it.
No idea who it was.
wow, haven't heard this in decades. Still sounds great!
I dig this song. I saw this band perform. His performances are no longer very interesting but the group of girls singing for him are GREAT.

The drummer is Mickey Hart (formerly of the Grateful Dead). He's not singing. Yes, it is a woman singing. :)

This CD, Mystery Box, was his only venture into pop AFAIK. I love it but it did mystify many of his fans expecting his normal world beat instramental stuff.

Sounds like dance music for \'healings\' and other new age kind of gatherings. Hope they got- and play it when I join in. ;)
I'll second that, nice percussion, but otherwise another forgettable pop song
