You've got your ball
You've got your chain
Tied to me tight tie me up again
Who's got their claws
In you my friend
Into your heart I'll beat again
Sweet like candy to my soul
Sweet you rock
And sweet you roll
Lost for you I'm so lost for you
You come crash into me
And I come into you,
I come into you
In a boy's dream
In a boy's dream

Touch your lips just so I know
In your eyes, love, it glows so
I'm bare-boned and crazy for you
When you come crash
Into me, baby
And I come into you
In a boys dream
In a boys dream

If I've gone overboard
Then I'm begging you
To forgive me
In my haste
When I'm holding you so girl
Close to me

Oh and you come crash
Into me, baby
And I come into you

Hike up your skirt a little more
And show the world to me
Hike up your skirt a little more
And show your world to me
In a boy's dream
In a boy's dream

Oh I watch you there
Through the window
And I stare at you
You wear nothing but you
Wear it so well
Tied up and twisted,
The way I'd like to be
For you, for me, come crash
Into me,
Crash into me
Crash into me
Crash into me
Crash into me

I'm the king of the castle
You're the dirty rascal
Crash into me
Oh see you crash into me baby,
'Cause I am swimming in your seas
And in your ocean
And I feel your waves come and crash into me
Oh, yes, I see the waves come and crash into me
Oh, yes, I feel the waves come and crash into me

Agreed! It was a great time in my life as well. Every word you wrote could apply to me as well! Cheers. Eat drink and be merry...
The album version is superior as is the entire disc. This is not
Dear William,

Please STOP playing DMB.

Sincerely,
Your daughter
What a terrific version!
Despite the RP musical elite saying I'm not allowed to like this song, I unapologetically love it. Gave it an "8", like the majority here have.

They only come out in force for certain artists.  Unfortunately, the great Dave Matthews is one of them.  On the bright side, every artist the blind haters h8 is fabulously successful with a large and appreciative fan base.  I like to think that their continued success is a nice poke in the eye and am always glad to hear them (e.g. Dave, U2, Natalie Merchant, David Byrne, et. al.) on RP.

I save room in my library for Neil Young and Bob Dylan, but am entirely unwilling to welcome either Sting or his buddy Dave Matthews.

Shame I can't find a way to buy this version.   :-(

Mostly male, I suspect.
I'm not a hater, I think he's funny. In fact I do a pretty good imitation of Dave's nasal twang that never fails to make my girlfriend laugh.

I generally detest Dave Matthews, but this song really caught my attention this morning (in a good way).
Yep went out and made a cup of tea...
Put this tune on and beautiful things happen....
;)

Nothing wrong with that.

Same nasal singing style as Paul Williams, the 'singer'/songwriter who used to appear on Mike Douglas and Merv Griffin and such. How's THAT for dating myself?

oh yeah.....Just an old fashioned lovesong, comin' down in three part harmony.

Paul actually wrote some big hits and some other pretty good songs.

I think I'd prefer the William Shatner version!
Not really in to DBM much any more... but it sounds good... nice version.

A malaise has entered RP for a short while...now is the time to fix someone a drink. What will everyone have??
Wasn't this a cell phone commercial?

Ok, so just because the Dalai Lama is considered a religious monarch like Czar Nicholas, he should be spit on?  And whom does he rule  since he's an outcast with the Chinese doing their best to eradicate Tibetan culture?

Just because I meet one Washington Redskins fan and he ends up being both stupid and a douche bag, does that mean all Washington Redskins fans are stupid douche bags?

That's kinda a dick comment that you left, and I don't really understand why it was necessary.

Love hearing DMB live material, though would surely like to hear more of the collaborations with Tim Reynolds (some fun guitar versions).
Thanks for playing!

Always glad to hear DMB on RP. DMB haters are, well, haters. As the Dead sang, "ain't no time to hate, barely time to wait...". Oh yeah, probably not a good choice of a quote, I bet the cliquish haters of DMB are also the cliquish haters of the Dead. Sigh.

please make it stop
Sorry, DMB-haters, I think this guy's got it goin' on. Solid 8.

Crash Into Me by Christopher Walken

How's this for an eclectic event.

I saw Dave Matthews in Seattle four years ago.  He did a 45 minute set, just him, Tim Reynolds and 2 acoustic guitars.

INTERMISSION

Then, Dave sat on the stage with The Dalai Lama, and interviewed him, talk show style.  Asked him a lot of questions about the world today, which were gracefully answered.  Took some questions from the audience as well.  This went on for nearly an hour.

INTERMISSION

Previously unannounced 'special guests' were brought out.  It was Death Cab For Cutie. The crowd went wild, since we all thought it was Dave & The Dalai Lama only.  DCFC played a laid-back one hour acoustic set, and that was that.

Did I mention that the freaking Dalai Lama was there!!?

The world's most annoying singer.

OK, I know it's crude, but I love that "hike up your skirt" line.

Sorry, not getting it. Do you have visual aids?

This song is better depending on the circumstances of life at the time you hear it!

Don't knock Dave or DMB until you have seen them live.
Like the acoustic take on this one.

Yeah, I bought this album too, saw him in concert and loved it.

And then he morphed into a total piece of garbage.

Still like the early stuff but gave all my albums to the Salvation Army so I don't have to suffer through his pained expressions.

Maybe it's the Headless Horseman painting I'm working on.
Still. I"m dying thinking of the hilarity of it.

{#Think}

{#Lol}

I'll never hear this song the same way again.
But what this song *really* needs is...

God, I love this version of this song! It really brings back a flood of good memories. There was some decent music in the 90s. {#Music}

i can actually stand this DMB song - actually... good memories of a girl and Italy...
{#Notworthy}   I know Dave is a polarizing figure to some. But he's a truly original artist who has pushed musical boundaries and managed to be successful in an otherwise pop-infused world. Hats off to him.
