I'm not content to be with you in the daytime
Girl I want to be with you all of the time
The only time I feel alright is by your side
Girl I want to be with you all of the time
All day and all of the night
All day and all of the night
All day and all of the night

I believe that you and me last forever
Oh yeah, all day and nighttime yours, leave me never
The only time I feel alright is by your side
Girl I want to be with you all of the time
All day and all of the night
All day and all of the night
Oh, come on

I believe that you and me last forever
Oh yeah, all day and nighttime yours, leave me never
The only time I feel alright is by your side
Girl I want to be with you all of the time
All day and all of the night
All day and all of the night-time
All day and all of the night

they truly must have been school boys in disgrace!
Kick ass! 👍
Kind of a punk version of this song. I like it!
Not convinced at first... then it went into the solo and the stomping beat... OH YEAH

Okay, the fact that you didn't have an account combined with your acknowledgement of how kickass the programming is means it's now it's time to pony up and contribute to the cause to keep the music flowing

hilarious bruceandjenna!
I'm not sure if its the faster tempo, or just the live acoustics, but I'm preferring the studio recording to this.  :-(
1965-66 The Armory Springfield Illinois Kinks live
The band's final release before their breakup.
nice riff
clicked on Amazon CD... 135 British pounds!!! (about $150)... methinks not.
(will just rip from LP to FLAC file)
While working at Marriott's Great America log ride, these girls were approaching me before the downhill chute clapping "Hello, I love you, won't you tell me your name!" to this tune.  Always a great memory
Saw the Kinks live in 1980s...great music+performance -  and without a doubt one of the LOUDEST shows I have ever encountered!

The first Punk band by almost a decade.
So I'm listening as I  usually am to RP when this comes on and my heartbeat jumps 20 BPM.

I was two years old in 1964, so I really wouldn't remember...

The song was 30 years old at the time of the recording (nearly 50 at the time of your comment).  What is "generic" to you now was quite revolutionary when the song was written.

Also, I'm sure you meant to infer that The Ramones sound like The Kinks as they were the progenitors of Punk (which also was not considered "generic" in its time).
wow, great live version, pure heavy metal
Excuse me while i get my air guitar out.

{#Bananajam}

That was HUGE.

Great version.

AWESOME!!!! 10++++{#Bananajam}{#Bananajam}{#Drummer}
Love live Kinks.  Got to see them a few times.  A shamelessly fun time.

I've always liked the studio version of this better. It had more impact. This just has all the recklessness of when a kid is banging around on the piano and not really playing.

Just working along and then this comes on!  Time to rock!!!!

No you don't. This is brilliant.
Maybe not the best version, but I have to give it a 9, just because...this is rock n roll
Wish Van Halen had covered this one, would've been fantastic.
Meh... 6 at best for me. I love the studio version, but this...ummm.. Nah
Gosh, I love this song.  High school dances at the YMCA after basketball games.  Played at least 3 times a night.
Michigan City: 1966 Indiana High School State Basketball Champions — Go Red Devils!
Great jam!
Must...Not...Air...Guitar.  GAHHH!!! Can't help it!

And that's bad?  I haven't heard "Hanging Around" on PR lately.

Another good live version.

For me, I'll always remember the "One more for the Road" cut.

Time and place and all that...

This kicks butt big time - listen and learn all you young pretenders - this is what live music sounds like!!!
Great song
RIP IT, RAY!!!!
Did I hear something similar to "Day-O" a la Belafonte in the audience participation portion? Yikes. I didn't need to hear this today, sorry.
i like this better than the album cut. live cuts were generally poorly recorded back then. did i mention i love this?

Even if you don't particularly like this song or the genre of rock (there are some) at all, this is what will sell you on the whole deal. Amazing.
Can't-beat-it guitar crunch on this version. Upstairs neighbors will probably be darkening my doorway any sec now..

Awesome set this morning.
Ah. Music I grew up with - Beatles, Stones, Kinks - what a lucky time to be so young and impressionable! I remember seeing them do this on Ed Sullivan....my parents hated it (and of course didn\'t understand what was happening with this loud music and the long hair!). Great to hear this live version!
