They should have ended the song a few bars before they did, the guitar solo was uninspired and repetitious.

And, um…what songs have you wrote?
None. That doesn't change my opinion that this song along with many others written during his solo career have been very formulaic and, consequently, boring. This is just my humble, non-song-writer, opinion, tho.
Fogerty: "I need another track to fill the album. Why don't we just do an extended jam on one of the songs?" He did it with "Hoyd It Through the Grapevine," why not do it years later?
I always enjoy a little swamp boogie. Ya'll loosen up!
one of the best voices in rock.
I like just about everything Fogerty has done. However, I really don't like this. Sounds like he aint even trying.
yawn.

"change in the weather, change in the weather.. hmm, that's not long enough for a full song, I need some more...come on brain, think of something... ahh screw it - I'll just add some heard it through the grapevine jam at the end. That'll work." - John Fogarty, hard at work on another song.

John Fogerty's Change in the Weather is as topical as it gets. Hard to believe this was written in 1986. Very prescient. Might as well re-title it The New Orleans Hurricane. "Uh huh, you best believe it's true, The levee's busted, badness comin' through. Oh no, there ain't no place to hide, Reach out and pluck you, take you for a ride. Sea of frustration, take everything in sight, Won't be no blessing if we make it through the night. Down on your knees, go ahead and pray, But every demon has to have his day."

Is that supposed to be a Zombie on the cover of the album? It looks more like Beast from the TV show Beauty and the Beast.
It's John as he's... changed with the weather
I agree it is recycled CCR, but I love CCR, so this was a big jam...

Love CCR, hate John Fogerty.
changin' the station, changin' the station...
i think there's a change in the weather
Now here would be an example of an artist that hasn't changed his style a bit since the 60's - c'mon John, take some risks - try something new.
I thought this was a Buddy Guy tune. Turns out to be written by Fogerty.

Damn if he really isn't ripping himself off here.
seems a little formulaic . . . at least for John Fogerty.
man, you always gotta love that 10 minute \"heard it through the grapevine jam.\" oh wait.....
