Same problem here, Iâve been trying all sorts things, but so far nothing seems to have worked. Sonos support had me remove RP and then add it back. Still having intermittent skip/ pause issues. I tried lower bit rate but no joy

Suggestions? Hold your breath and hope they get their shit together. Maybe try streaming at lower quality, at least to see if that helps, indicating a networking problem. I have my ancient Play:1 hardwired to a node on my mesh because that was the only way I could get it to work. Don't think I have your problem, although I do have that problem with the SOMA flac.

Agreed on lowering the bitrate. That seems to have helped listeners. We've alerted Sonos. What good that will do...??

The whole situation sucks. You could try posting to reddit r/sonos. There is one Sonos employee monitoring it and maybe someone else has some ideas. Aside from that, maybe keep trying. There seem to be random errors that sometimes resolve themselves.

The android app does seem to be slowly getting better. The bad news is that I hear there are some problems with the new headphones not complying with charging standards so you can't use higher wattage chargers. The push to release the headphones was apparently the main reason behind the release of the crappy apps and the crappy firmware upgrades. Along with changes that seem to be made to poise them to move to a subscription service rather than just supplying hardware that works.

Thanks for that! I forgot to mention Iâm on iOS 17.5.1. Iâm now working around this by playing RP on my phone then air playing it to Sonos. Not ideal but at least I can use the skip function I now canât live without and the TuneIn stream doesnât provide

At the bottom in the Drop Down should show Sonos with Favorites playing, but it's no longer working. This had been working as recent as last week.
Stopping and closing the Sonos app and opening the Android App to Favorites, then opening the browser and navigating to Music > What's Playing shows 'android app' in the drop-down and the Favorites that are playing are listed.

It's working again.

So, I used to be able to listen to My Favorites using the Sonos on my Gen1 system and when I'd open RP in a browser, it'd show Sonos under What's Playing . It's not doing this any more. Now it only shows the regular RP streams without the Sonos. However, when using the Android app, it shows 'android app' in the What's Playing drop-down. Where'd the Sonos entry go?

If the new app weren't so borked I would be thinking it's a last-gasp attempt to position themselves for a buyout. If it was, I think they screwed the pooch.

Is anyone else not able to listen to their favorites on the original Sonos app on Android? I've reauthorized my account but it's still not working. Here to report that I can play RP through the just released Sonos app.

Just about nothing else works except streaming, and many people are having problems with that. They estimate they will have a fix so I can play music from my music library in a month or so. It is unclear if it will be able to do it without an internet connection.

One of the main reasons I only have one speaker is that I thought the old app was crap. They have outdone themselves.

Oh, and they forced the update to the new apps and you can't roll back to the old ones. CEO says users are a bunch of whingers.
