Riley B. King (born September 16, 1925), known by the stage name B.B. King ("B.B." short for Blues Boy), is an American blues guitarist and singer-songwriter acclaimed for his expressive singing and fluid, complex guitar playing.

Rolling Stone magazine ranked him at No.3 on its list of the "100 greatest guitarists of all time".<1> According to Edward M. Komara, King "introduced a sophisticated style of soloing based on fluid string bending and shimmering vibrato that would influence virtually every electric blues guitarist that followed."<2> King has been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

King was born in a small cabin on a cotton plantation outside of Berclair, near Indianola, Mississippi, to Albert King and Nora Ella Farr on September 16,1925.

Senator Malcolm Wallop dies at 78SHERIDAN, WY (WPR) - Former U-S Senator Malcolm Wallop has died at the age of 78 after a long battle with Parkinson's disease and cancer. 
Wallop served in the Wyoming legislature and later upset veteran U-S Senator Gail McGee to serve in the Senate from 1977 till 1995. 
During his term, Wallop fought hard for the Star Wars defense system and was a proponent for national defense and former Senator Alan Simpson credits Wallop for working to end the cold war, by demanding the Cold War effort get adequate funding.
"We either put the resources in it to scare them away, or we just slog along. So he and Reagan by injecting a huge amount of funds into the defense budget of the United States, they broke the Soviet Union literally, they bankrupt it. And that's what put them out of business." While Wallop favored defense issues, he was also concerned about personal freedoms. A point he expressed while watching the cleanup of the Pentagon on September 11th 2001. He told Wyoming Public Radio's Bob Beck that he was very concerned that Congress would pass the type of legislation that later became the Patriot Act. "That Congress and the political world will take away the things that makes America great. And that's our personal freedoms. And these are not the way that will provide safety to Americans, but this will change the life that America knows." Simpson said Wallop was very passionate, but also very funny. Wallop died at his home in Big Horn.
