SNL was always a show where you were forced to watch 10 or 20 terrible skits to get to that one nugget. Admittedly, I've only watched in the last 10 years or so to help me fall asleep (works great)>
I stopped watching when the original crew was no longer, as the even the first round of replacements just weren't funny. And when I go back and look at some of the original clips, some of the original crew (read: Chevy Chase) just weren't funny, either.
Yea, but Belushi, Akroyd, Radner, Morris, Murray, Curtain and Newman were hilarious!
I am not sure which has aged worse; Jagger or SNL. As haggard as Jagger looks, my vote is for SNL a mere shell of its former glory.

i watched. it was not as good as some of his stints on SNL in the past (i particularly like the sketch he did with Mike Myers where he played keith and mike played mick, years ago - early to mid 90's) but it wasn't too bad!
i wasn't a fan of the first performance he did on saturday, but the ones with the foos and then with beck were both pretty decent. always fun watching him dance/perform.

I had the opposite impression re. the songs played. And the lyrics to that last, political song? "Gotta strategize..." or whatever. Come on Mick, couldn't think of something better? Beck was in good form though, as always.

Me either, but he did redeem himself with the Foo's and then Beck, he just rules.
