My loving wife has completed my indoctrination into east coast ways.  We met on her 30th birthday at Monterey CA where she was denying her siblings the fun of the celebration.  Rather, she was hiding out with her college roommate...who happened to throw a party and I never left!  In a few short days I was on a plane to Syracuse NY.  21 years hence life in North Carolina, our compromise between upstate NY and CA, has been great ...except for the music.  My wife is deaf in one ear and has poor speech discrimination in the other so music is not something she enjoys unless it is a tune she already knows from before her hearing loss.  So for my birthday this year my loving wife bought a 4 day pass and campsite for me and the "big" kids (21 and 19) to attend MerleFest !  As a young man I frequented the CA music scene, a couple shows at the Catalyst with Sir William Goldsmith himself as I recall, and resumption of this activity on the east coast seems to complete establishment of life here.

We'll be camping in our circa 1980's Jayco popup at River's Edge camp, adjacent to the "blue" parking lot, displaying a red on white "Archer Lodge", 1/2 license plate.  Would love to meet some RPeeps so please do stop by and say "hey"....that's what they say here in North Cacalack.  I'll post a location update once we're settled into camp on Thurs afternoon 29 April.
