Iâve got a nice HO & N gauge train set thatâs packed away in the basement too. Had a nice setup with mountains made of plaster of Paris with a tunnel and trees with handmade buildings and the car track with train crossing. My dad made me a nice power supply to run it, thanks Raytheon, and the statute of limitations is past so I can say that now.

Awesome. I never had such a nice track or cars but what I did have I loved. I still have a pair of Lotus cars to it. I ruined the track a long life ago squirting lighter fluid on it and racing thru flames. Stories stories stories. I blame it on my older cousin. He was a professional firebug but I guess I was a learned student and willing collaborator. I never said I was smart. lol
Anyhow I just saw him this morning. I picked him up from where he rehabbed from a five-way bypass a couple of weeks ago. All he wanted was a bacon double cheese burger and onion rings. Life going on man.
It's been a few years and I've been a hankerin' to do some good ol' slot car racing.
My grand daughter is now old enough to handle the power... so I set up the track again...

My brother loved slot car racing, and organized the neighborhood kids into teams! I was pretty good at it, actually.

Beautiful pity.
At 5 or so, I was gifted a track where the cars never ran, regardless. It was mounted on a wooden sheet with trees and houses. Beautiful to look at, but what a bummer it was!
Youâre lucky to have 4 lanes I only got the two lane setup. And I got some of those cars in my collection too.

Indeed. Is that a pair of Chaparrals there?
Not sure what they are. Not up on those type of cars.
The white one is from one of my original sets I got back in the later 70's. The old AFX Magna Traction... the old style pancake motor with low hanging magnets. This was the first attempt to improve handling. Before cobalt magnets.
I just discovered there's a new chassis out there... AFX Mega G+. I just ordered a couple to try out. A new generation.
