Those type of thoughts were always disturbing to me,I was focusing on the tensile strength of a fingernail necessary to bend an A string from about 440 Hz and what ever is beyond from there.

The dead meat thing, well I guess you just put in the microvave.I'll do cows in a pinch and chickens need to run away from me because I'll eat them.I'm more of a veggie guy,but this is a tough time for people like me,what with the weather and seasonal availibilty.
Still wondering about the fingernails and this note I want to try to stretch to.

Does that hand sanitizer stuff break down the protein in your fingernails?

Yes,I do have google but that isn't always as good as asking.

Easiest way would be to paste the graphic inline. Scale it to what you think is the right size, Copy it, then put your cursor where you want it in the text and paste. I think that'll work in Publisher.

Thanks. I changed the font for that one character to Arial Unicode MS and found the symbol in that set. WHOOP!

Thanks for your help, folks!

You can use a $5 HDMI cable from your laptop.Use the TV as a second screen. If the laptop doesn't have HDMI out you can buy a USB-HDMI dongle for $50.

Absolutely. And for some reason, the games you miss, the news' highlight reels don't have any relation to what happened on the field. So it's cool to go watch the critical inning and see how the highlight developed.

I figure, we dropped a $65/month cable bill (that was "expanded basic" in our area). We can justify Netflix and MLBtv without batting an eye because we're still up a few hundred dollars a year.

Yup. We started out here with DirecTV and dropped it as soon as the contract was up - 400 channels and only 6-8 that we actually watched. After that we just set up with high-speed cable interwebs, Netflix, HBO Now (which now resides on P's phone - another story) and the Chromecast. Big, big savings.

So you got that sorted; don't need a DVR.

You are blacked out from watching games live if the team is from your home area

The following Club(s) is within the searched home television territory, and is subject to MLB.TV blackouts in the U.S. for all live regular season games:
  • Texas Rangers
  • St. Louis Cardinals
  • Houston Astros
  • Kansas City Royals
None of which matters to you except the Cardinals. You cannot watch a Cardinals game live, no matter who or where they're playing*. But as Bokey said, you can sit down and watch the Cubs vs Cards 90 minutes after the game is over. So unfollow the Cubs on Facebook so you don't get spoilers, and there you go. I probably watch 5% of games live; I usually like to let it get an inning or two ahead at least, that way I can zip thru commercials on the Roku.

*There's a lawsuit going on that calls BS on that crap and the settlement says they are trying to negotiate with local cable providers to stream their broadcast to areas that have been blacked out in the past. So maybe before the season starts (or ends) you'll be able to get the "in market" games... but it'll probably be only for customers who currently get cable (that's how they do the world series). But maybe not. Who knows?

That has not been the case for a couple of decades now.  They split them up among multiple networks like almost every other team.  Worse yet WGN started having two feeds last year, one for Chicago and a separate one for their national audience.  The Cubs games are only on the local feed.  It's really hard on us old timers who grew up being able to watch the entire season as god intended.

Ah, okay; thanks. I don't keep up with the Cubs and didn't know about the change. I'm a Braves fan and watched TBS do the same thing for them, but most of the Braves games still come on one of two sports networks (with the occasional Fox, MLB Network, or ESPN game thrown in).
