Actually there was a smaller one earlier with Lighthouse, Crowbar, April Wine, Edward Bear and maybe the Guess Who?

The Allman Brothers Band (shortly after Duane died) with Alex Taylor (James' brother) opening. Musta been late '71. Edit: I must make clear that that was the first concert that I actually bought a ticket for. A year or so before that my friends and I scaled a fence that surrounded an athletic field at the local community college where The Chambers Brothers and a then unknown band called Black Oak Arkansas were performing along with a number of local L.A. bands.

So, I retraced my steps via www.setlist.fm - apparently my first concert was Whitesnake, with Great White opening. November 18th, '87. I hang my head in shame.

The first and only concert I've ever been to was Mannheim Steamroller performing their Fresh Aire Suite in Portland Oregon, some time in the mid-nineteen-eighties. It was pretty cool.

Black Sabbath with Ronnie James Dio fronting. I guess it was the late seventies. Some guy was tripping on acid up by the stage. I thought that was pretty interesting. I must have been around 13.
