Simply amazing.  I am not even a particular fan musically of Zappa, not exactly easy listening, but this is more about his influences more than his own music.  Just a wealth of musical history for the particular genres of classical, doo wop, obscure R and B and jazz.

"The Other One" - about Bob Weir. The great thing is that he stars in it the whole time, being interviewed, and showing the camera old haunts in SFO—the building that was the record store where he met Jerry Garcia, the big gorgeous Victorian where the entire band and some beatniks lived..lots of good stuff. The most amazing thing is about him finding his biological dad/brothers—and the brothers also being musicians. The funniest part—-when the Dead used to play strip clubs in their early days...and the dancers would start glaring at them when they would just stand there jamming, going way longer the 2-3 minutes...and finally asking them "can you please END this? I'm done!"

It took me a long time to work up the courage to get through this one (just because it really hits home with my Mom having dementia). But it is phenomenal, and I highly recommend it for not just people with loved ones who are old—but as food for thought as we ourselves age.
