Beanie, I feel really blessed to have met up with you the few times that I did - but I really wish I'd followed up on that Cleveland visit sooner, because I'd always wanted to meet KES—-after hearing all the many, wonderful stories about her, which never ceased to light up your eyes, your face...your very being. I will echo what others have said several times, now....I'm so glad that she had such a loving family and could help generate love wherever she went and with whomever she encountered...and that your life was so profoundly touched by that kind of a precious angel among you.

The thoughts and prayers continue to flow northward to you all...

i have no words of wisdom greater than those already shared. all actions have a purpose. she was a glorious offshoot of 2 fine people. her light will shine on. my heart is heavy for your loss. 

 

I went to bed, but this thought came to me, so I had to get up to share it:

The people and events in our lives are like bubbles: We blow a bubble and are thrilled to watch its beauty float through the air. When we are completely enamored with its magic, it pops and is gone forever. This is like life.

Every year, for Buddha's birthday, the monks create these amazing, intricate sand mandalas, like this:



and when the time is right, the mandala is destroyed, and the sand is returned to nature. The symbolism involves the impermanence of everything. All that we love eventually is lost to us. As well as, all of our suffering passes as well. This is the nature of life. We must enjoy what we have, when we have it, because, as the saying goes, this too shall pass.
