Perusing Facebook this morning and seeing the "next generation's" Father's Day pix was an absolute delight! My nephew's first Father's Day (with Sophia on the outside of the womb, anyway)

fuzzy wrote:...speaking of.... My youngest daughter just came to me and asked if i wanted a GPS for Father's day. (not just from her, but everyone else in the family would chip in, half-price sale at Canadian Tire). She didn't want to surprise me with something i may not like, that's why she asked. I said, "Thanks, but no thanks". (besides, i care little for a GPS) If they got you one and you don't want it - I'LL take it! The used one that was given to me is CRAP and doesn't work anymore.

fuzzy wrote: Don't care much for Hallmark Holidays either. And ever since i was a kid i never was a fan of my own birthday, but i'm ok with other folk's birthdays. And like your dad, if i get a "Happy Father's Day" i will be grateful for the thought and say thank you. The kids knew that i much preferred a hand-made card over any other gifts. I've got a whole collection of them now. :-)
And I much prefer making home-made cards. Well, in latter years, I've constructed them with my own images, etc. on the computer. Unless I find one in the store that just really resonates with me, for its intended recipient.

Yes, the curmudgeon in me really doesn't care for those either, but P is a moderating influence.
