Malcolm would just squat in the box, trying to go. Poor guy. Is there any pee in the box?

i can't tell what he's doing. maybe straining. i'm going to watch him closely today. if it's not different tomorrow, off to the vet.

Sounds similar to Biko's bout with constipation a few weeks back. Getting some kitty grass really helped.

Moist and cool. Like a dog's nose.

Cats seem to burn through a virus/cold pretty quickly. But that wouldn't explain the litter box issues.

i think my boy murr is under the weather.

he looked like he was having some issues in the litter box just now. and when he got out, i think i surprised him, and he hissed at me. he never does. then he seemed to have issues cleaning himself. i'm going to see how he does the rest of today, and if he still seems odd, i'll take him to the vet tomorrow. poor guy.

sigh. this isn't good timing (not that it ever is) i'm going home this weekend to pittsburgh.

also, i can't remember (jrzy? anyone?) like dogs, is it normal for a cats nose to be a little moist? or is it supposed to be dry. maybe he has a cold.

Yes.  I think Lugh really likes the older female we call Star.  The stare at each other a lot thru the back windows.
