I just had a nap to sleep off the side effects of my booster. I woke up not remembering my dream and thought of this thread! Here's a song I like, sort of relevant to our topic. (bought the LP in the bargain bin section, pretty much liked only this song) Walkin’ around this concrete garden

You begin to recognize patterns and archetypes and an inward awareness begins to drive reasoning. Nicely put. If i say, for instance, "this song sucks" I am fully aware that it's just my own one-man opinion and that music is very personal thing! Yes, inner-outer continuum. Agree.

Continuity - sometimes over time no dreams - probably just don't remember them but generally, I dream recurring - yeah... some themes over time... I'm 59 yrs now with all the usual aches and pains, so for me going to bed at night or napping in the afternoon is like getting ready to go to the movies. I like it! I have a lot of trouble with arthritis but fortunately no dreams of being crippled yet. Wonders never cease...If it happens I'll get someone to tie me to their makeshift raft and hold on for dear life...

I knew a guy who had a country getaway complete with ponds, a urinal, and a bulldozer. Man I envied that guy. I have a lot of stuff but I need a dumpster most of all. Even he didn't have one of those...
Last night I had an odd dream. I was in a glass elevator – floor, ceiling, all the walls were glass – and my companions were taking me down to go for a “swim.” After a short while during the descent I realized something “fishy” was going on – pun intended – because we were descending to the bottom of some kind of ocean.
Turns out they were some kind of Atlantian people and going for a swim at the bottom of the ocean was perfectly normal and safe for them. But for me, I worried that if they opened the elevator door, I would be trapped in water, which was all I could see through the glass, or perish trying to swim several kilometers to the surface.
When the elevator car stopped, I simply said, “Please don’t let me die.”

other half occasionally talks/mumbles in her sleep usually about a gummed up work relationship sometimes i'll say something in a lower tone and put my arm across her engage in a familiar snuggle protocol usually she never wakes (or fully wakes) we monitor our sleep data, or i monitor our sleep data interesting patterns developing

Last night in my dreams I parked my car in a 24 hour parking spot on the street. I put money in the meter. The next morning in my dream I couldn't find my car. Hopefully I can find it tonight.

I can't quite piece together the scene prior to this, but I'm somewhere, not sure. A complex of tall condo or apartment buildings. There are typical balconies on each unit and I walk out and almost go over the edge as there are no rails across the opening. I am maybe four floors up. There is chaos in the streets below of a rushing flood of muddy water and people. As I recover from a near fall I look over at another building and there is a man with full grown male African lion standing snarling at the unpinned edge of the balcony. I can't even hear the lions roars as the cacophony below is so loud. Suddenly the lion leaps off, followed by the man. The lion lands on its back in the rushing water and thrashes around for a few moments. I lost sight of the man. The lion gets on its feet and bounds through the torrent as people scatter. I wake up...
A bit different from the snake dreams of late...
That's pretty cool. I have a repetitive catastrophe dream where I'm on a hill or somehow elevated giving me quite a clear view of a large city. Suddenly I see an eee-normous, hugely disproportionate airliner slowly come angling down from the sky plowing into the city causing mass destruction, fires and explosions. There is no sound in this dream. I'm disturbed but not too much as I've seen this happen over and over in similar dreams.

Last night’s, or really this morning’s fun dream (right before Weezie woke me up when she heard the coffee maker start) was a flying dream. I was preparing to “take off” in an inflatable … something … sort of a cross between an air mattress and the Inflato-boat. I was going to ascend and exit the building through a skylight, which I had to open as I rose. My boss was watching me, and gave his approval. I was looking forward to seeing all the lovely fall colors, from above!
From somewhere or nowhere the young black man walked by me with a wary glare. Some distance later he turned and without a word raised and leveled a pistol and fired. I turned sidewise, and watched the bullet go by in slow motion. "For you it's this way," I told him to myself in my dream language. "Not for me." He just stared, eyes narrow, gun raised. Then the look of terror on his face. He lowered the pistol and turned to run before looking back for a brief moment. I could see the tears running down his face. Then he disappeared. "I'm not there," I said to him in my dream language. "I only dreamed that I was."
