I recently moved into a new neighborhood in the burbs, from living in the city for 8 years. I found out that people don't respond the same way out here. Everyone in the city is friendly, but the people I have met here have very tight boundaries. I can't just walk up to people here and say "Hi! I'm Hippiechick, how's it going?" But the point was, when you come into a new forum, or a new hood, or a room full of people you don't know, it is wise to stand around and assess the crowd for awhile. I have learned this the hard way myself, because in my world, everyone should just love me, as I love them (in my world).

You came on very strong right away, without giving anyone a chance to get to know you, and you have been using a lot of push. You shouldn't be surprised at the response, because people have obviously felt threatened by you. And, for pete's sake, this is not a religious crowd, and no one wants to be preached to. If you are looking for that, you will not get a warm response.

A lot of these people have been here for a very long time, and they're pretty playful, and they have very low tolerance for preaching, whether it be about religion, conspiracy theories, products, music, or anything.  (You have definitely been doin' some preaching.)

You do not know us, you don't seem to be able to understand any of what's going on here.  You're making a lot of remarks about what we all are like, but you really don't know.  I know you've had a pretty negative experience since you started posting... and I am sorry about that.  But you just keep doing the same thing... and getting the same result.

What, exactly, is it that you want from the people here?  How do you think this will turn out?
