Of course, since you seem NOT to understand the procedures of The US Senate, it would only take 60 votes for cloture, thus ending a filibuster. So bright bulb, who had 60 votes *until the election of Sen. Brown*? Bingo! Democrats. No,, the opposition was that medicare drug plan was unfunded, but no one wanted to raises taxes to pay for it, instead just added to the deficit along with the wars. dems and repubs both FAILED as far as I am concerned. At least in this plan they are paying for it.
