Context. This was Biden’s official statement on recovery efforts from Ida: My message to the people of the Gulf Coast, who I’m going to visit tomorrow: We are here for you. And we’re making sure the response and recovery is equitable so that those hit hardest get the resources they need and are not left behind. How is this a lie or broken promise? I don't give a rat's ass what the posted statement is. I saw the words come directly from Biden's mouth, in context.

Based upon reactions so far, few if any share my thoughts on this subject. Obviously it is no more than just a rah - rah slogan to you as you state above.
So I guess you must be privy to all things going on internally at the White House, Pentagon and all to be able to definitively say that Biden has stopped trying to get others out? Until you know that for a fact… you might want to stop posting nonsense. So how is your behind the scenes stuff working for you ? We have no diplomatic nor military presence there. This is exactly the same excuse used to provide cover for Obama's foreign adventures, yet denied Trump. It is 100% clear that Biden is beholden to the Taliban. He has admitted it, while the State department is actually blocking flights with Americans onboard from leaving there. And you're A / OK with all this. Yep.

There are around 1000? known US citizens still over there and most of them chose to not get out when there was still a chance. As much as it sucks to be them, and I understand that a forever war probably takes on a feeling of stability, but the fact remains that they chose to be in a country at war and didn't believe that the war would end or end so suddenly. IMO once it got to a certain point, their best hope for getting out safely would be after the fall, a negotiation. The Taliban needs us right now; if they continue to move those Americans out safely, that would go a long ways toward getting some cash flowing.
Yes, it really is in their interest to evacuate anyone and everyone who wants to go. They have enough headaches with a shattered economy, etc.

America is forever changed when an idiot president downplays a pandemic and politicizes it resulting in polarizing people against vaccinations and mask-wearing. Trump failed to provide the proper direction/tone/messaging/example in a crisis. How many deaths are on his head because ignorant people thought that they were following his lead by discounting science and continuing to view the pandemic as a "hoax"? I am sure that you yourself have cited Trump's promise to have Mexico pay towards the border wall as a lie, not a broken promise. As has nearly everyone else here, to be fair.
No word games. You said yourself it was a promise.
The big difference between the two is that Biden actually did get people out. How much of the cost of the border wall did Mexico actually pony up? If Trump got Mexico to pay for 20% of the wall then he would have achieved something and I wouldnât call it a lie. If you make a statement that is misleading that you have no intention of following through on⦠I would say thatâs a lie. He was talking out of his ass from the get-go on that one.

Thanks Joe ... kurtster: Why do you support anti-Semitic terrorism? The Arabs are Semitic peoples. In order for Israelis to settle the West Bank, how many American lives are you willing to sacrifice? And finally. Why do you constantly lie? America has not changed forever. It is the same old, same old. Americans love killing and taking. Americans love killing innocent civilians. Do you not support the War on Terrorism because it gives you carte blanche to dehumanize, demonize and kill civilians.? How has anything changed?
