I don't like that definition because it does not take into account Theocracies which are at present the most prevalent type of facism. Iran and Saudi Arabia the most obvious examples.

I'm not in total agreement with that definition either and for the same reasons as you, but it was found in the referenced article. So I just worked with what I had.
