I'm not outraged, or in fear of destroying the olympics (that's already been done), and certainly not "looking for solutions for problems that dont exist."
Life's not fair, as you say, but too many want to fix that somehow.
This is a piece of a larger issue/problem our society is trying to flesh out, and yes being exploited by whackos on both the left and right. 
A little common sense would seem to go a long way.

But all this new passion has made me wonder, what if all these people claiming to be fighting for the future of women’s sports would really fight for the future of women’s sports? What if they suddenly said, “We demand women’s sports get equal resources, equal media coverage, and equal pay”? What if these new activists embraced women’s sports and invested in female athletes, instead of using us as their excuse for transphobia?

Name me one non-trans female Olympic champion in weightlifting.  Shit...name me a man while you're at it.  Outside of swimming and gymnastics...name me one Rio female gold medalist.

In a sad reality, more people know that there is even female weightlifting because of this.  It won't stop the conservative media from turning this into the most outrageous example of unfairness ever.   Sorry...second most.  The stolen election was bigger.

This is actually a very real issue for women athletes at every level.  The entire genre of women's sports is at stake and very well may go away eventually.  Women may just have to straight up compete with men in all sports including combat sports.  I think the end game is to completely dissolve gender altogether along with biological science.{#Sad}
