CadenzaIn music, a cadenza is, generically, an improvised or written-out ornamental passage played or sung by a soloist or soloists, usually in a "free" rhythmic style, and often allowing for virtuosic display. Indicated by a fermata in all parts if improvised, a cadenza is usually over a final or penultimate note in a piece or important cadence and the accompaniment rests or sustains a note or chord.

We got Bean Creek. I had heard good things about them, but maybe they were having an off night. Four piece band - guitar, mandolin, banjo and bass. A good fiddler might have livened it up a little.

The band was good but they took their sweet time getting started. And then talked a lot between songs. But they were really good, I thought.
