Was there an open bidding process for that project?

Well there you go. You had them actually some work.

I've actually had to do that back when I did landscraping as a 20 something year old.

That was the first thing I found that caused problems.  It is the one feature that turns off and stays off, unlike the collision braking and assisted steering which you have to turn off every time you start the car.

My 2019 is also the last year Honda made cars without the turn off the engine at lights feature.  One of the worst ideas ever.  The only ones to truly benefit from that are shops who will be replacing worn out starters and flywheels much sooner than would be the case without it.  Not to mention hard on transmissions and CV joints when jerking back into gear.

Yep. A very stupid feature.
Around here... I can only imagine how hard it is on the systems while the air conditioning is on.
Just think how much gas is being saved.

That's insane. My entire roof deck including railing, tile work and pillar to support its walkway cost less than that here. But here everything newer is made of concrete and they really know how to get it done.

For that amount, I'd want them to include Jimmy Hoffa

The Nissan Privacy Notice says it gathers "Sensitive personal information, including driver’s license number, national or state identification number, citizenship status, immigration status, race, national origin, religious or philosophical beliefs, sexual orientation, sexual activity, precise geolocation, health diagnosis data, and genetic information." from "Direct contact with users and Nissan employees."

"Mozilla pegged Nissan and Tesla some of the worst offenders. Nissan’s privacy policy suggests the company collects information including sexual activity, health diagnosis data, and genetic data. However, it’s not clear how Nissan gathers that data. Moreover, the company reserves the right to sell or share much of that data with data brokers, law enforcement, and other third parties. Many other manufacturers didn’t fare much better in Mozilla’s tests."

that drives me crazy (no pun intended.) i haven't been on a road trip in years, and this past weekend i made a 3 hr drive to visit friends. i know, not very long at all - and well worth it, but this very thing happened to me so often and i find it not only annoying but kind of dangerous, imo.

anyway, sorry if this is a stupid question, but is this "feature" beaker and steely_d mentioned - is this autocorrect really going to be something on ALL cars? and you won't be able to bypass/disable it or whatever?

if that's the case, i am not comfortable with this at all...

I do at least 2 (trying to do 4) 2500 mile road trips a year. I'm all for automatic cruise control adjustment - especially since there are so many people like the ones initially mentioned who will blaze by you, then slow down to 3 MPH less than you were going.  I'm not so sure about lane departure correction, but I am looking at a newish subaru, and looking forward to trying it out.
