So this thingie receives stereo audio via bluetooth from my SCP-8400, then re-transmits it via FM to my car radio? If that is the case, this adapter is well worth it. My 2006 Tundra has a great audio system, but lacks even the now-basic MP3 feature on the CD player, let alone an input jack.
Those FM transmitters are convenient, but the FM radio broadcast standards limit audio quality to that of a mass-produced cassette tape. You're not going to get much treble above 15kHz, and distortion is really noticeable. That makes them a really weak link. If you have an aftermarket car stereo system, or even a high end factory stereo, it shouldn't be that hard to find a way to patch line-level audio into your system. In fact, the Best Buy near my home carries some very inexpensive adapters that plug right into factory wiring harnesses. If you're not the DIY type, I'd bet that any good car audio installer can rig up a line-in jack for less than $100.

My browser just goes to the last page viewed, with no info shown prior to starting. If I go to Main Menu > Settings > Phone Info > Version, the browser listing is 2006071Re.-12.0b-8400. A quick google of "SCP-8400 browser" brought up (click here), wherein they claim they claim it's an Opera browser.
NetFront, SkyFire, and Opera are apparently each unique efforts to produce a mobile-mini web browser. Mobile Firefox is supposed to release it's own version in the future. I'm still a little confused why my server thinks my phone has a Mozilla browser but they may have set it up to look like a Mozilla browser in order to force it to be compatible. Your link above may have been in error or the previous version of the phone may have had an Opera Mini browser. I guess the mobile browser market is still in the booneys.

Correct. An alternative that has received equally good reviews is the Motorola T505: (click here)

From the research I did (I could be wrong) the SCP-8400 does bluetooth v1.1 and NOT v2.0. My guess is that it might send a mono-channel signal to the device and then it would retransmit via the FM frequency range. It may be possible (outside the spec) to send a stereo signal on this phone but I would test that theory before I spent $100! The other thing I noticed is that most of the FM transmitter device customer reviews are negative. There are a few for sale from CompUSA (now aka TigerDirect retail) for under $50. (These devices have a stereo line-in) I'm going to test a few locally first then decide if it's worth it. I currently RIP CD-RWs and play them in my car's CD-changer so I'm not subjected to the mind-numbing radio I get down here so a big decrease in quality is not in my best interest. I figure I'll probably use the PDA stream when I'm stuck waiting somewhere I can't access the interweb.

I tested my 3/32" 4-contact to 1/8" stereo adapter and it is stereo compatible. I was concerned that it would output to mono only. Here's something that may be helpful for people with older car radios: (my scp-8400 does BT 1.1 and not 2.0 or AD2P for wireless stereo) Satechi I tested the Smartphone/PDA stream and it has a consistent bandwidth of 42 kbits/sec. (So I guess that's a 6 KByte/sec stream?) It sounds good with head phones and would probably be worth it for a normal car stereo with average road noise. Beware Clear Channel!

Is this on an iPod Touch or an iPhone? If an iPhone, what version? Also -- if an iPhone, are you on EDGE, 3G, or WiFi?
