Now that some synapses are firing I remember seeing the Limelighters at the Berkeley Civic Center in 62 as a kid.  Move over and make room for Marty .... Think they made an album from that show.  Had the Grass Roots and Jose Feliciano play at our High School in 66 and 67 for afternoon concerts.  But the first concert I got to see without adult supervision was Ravi Shankar at UC Irvine in 67 just after he had played at the Monterrey Pop Festival.  He played for nearly 4 hours and my dad was real mad that he had to wait for several hours in the parking lot for the show to end.  He thought it would only last an hour and a half at most.
