meh, i posted 8 or more. that's plenty. plus, again ,all repeats, mostly. so i'm ok with them being on the first page and getting buried, actually. i don't come here to look at my own stuff, anyway. it's much more fun to see what other people share. like you! i always enjoy your photos. but these that you've posted this month, in this and in the other thread, are great.

CV - that area is actually very pretty most of the time. The day I shot that pic, there was a snowstorm rolling in, so everything just looked ominous. The trees have been thinned out like that to reduce fire danger - it's in an improved area near a park and camping area. Loads of deer and other wildlife in there, as well as all those lodgepole pines. No idea what the story is with that dumptruck, though.

When I was a child, behind our house there was a forest of endless miles of radiata pine trees planted in perfectly straight rows (for the local timber milling industry). The trees weren't native to the area so there was no undergrowth, it was quite silent and the only birds in there were black crows. The little town of a few hundred people had this forest around it on four sides. (We had the BEST Christmas trees). Although it never snowed there, this picture reminds me of that place.

Just tried to fix the stretched board by winding it along with posts so that we got to page 3 to start afresh. Not sure what is going on here. I've just posted (and now deleted) replies to both rebecca and jay's photos. All that happened was that those posts also stretched the board back on the opening page. Can anyone else fix it? Thanks in advance.
