love is worth planting

Digging a hole
place a seed into the orifice
Water and smile

So much for a "Victory Garden" can we call this a "Treason Garden"?

also, this quote of a non-supporting neighbor We did find one neighbor who wasn't a fan and thinks it needs to go.

"I know there's a backyard. Do it in the backyard," he said.

"They say, 'Why should you grow things in the front?' Well, why shouldn't I? They're fine. They're pretty. They're well maintained," said Bass.

Wait, are we talking about gardens or mullets?

I looked up "suitable".  The definition the official quotes as Webster's definition is there, but Webster's also calls it obsolete. Google's definition is: Right or appropriate for a particular person, purpose, or situation.

Sounds like their law is too vague. Looks better than the weed gardens I've seen on some lawns too.  Boooo.

the garden is pretty much done for the season.
We still have to clean it up, but we pulled the tomatoes last weekend. the peppers and eggplant are still producing, so we left them in for now.

We just planted about 150 garlic bulbs.

I had to buy new bulbs because we didn't get to plant last year, so I had none for seed. I figured I'd just buy a fresh batch. then I found out my supplier no longer has that variety. damn it. I liked that one. anyway, got a substitute. the bulbs aren't as large and I haven't tasted them yet, but they should be fine.
I did have some left from the year before, but didn't think they would be viable. the garden supply guy said if they weren't dried out, they might grow. they are in the basement and I haven't seen them in a year and a half. so I go buzz to bring them up for a look-see. they are spongy but not dry. I wouldn't eat them, but they might grow, so I planted about 40 of those. I hope it works, I really liked that variety.
I should have looked at them before spending all that money on new bulbs. oh well.

We planted some garlic in the landscape to see how well they will do. if it works outs, that's where they will go from now on.
